| Mr. Maharshi, good analysis.
Mr. Ravi Talsani, pessimism seems core of your arguement. Optimism, as you see in you, seems manifestation of pessimism. Positive thinking essential for mankind to go ahead. But, timely analysis and correction should form basis for 'positive' thhinking. Keedenchi elenchamannaru peddalu. Critical analysis, which is the core of Maharshi's asticle, is not negative thinking. We wont die of starvation if IT is perished, but we have to cautious about our own future. In the name of IT boom, people artificially increasing land values in and around Hyderabad. It is not good tendency. We have to aware about it.
Once again thank you Maharshi.

Mr.Maharshi told repeatedly that he is not trying to scare away people, but he is trying to alert the people and the government.
Just see what happened to the Stock Market in the last few days.
People were thinking that the sensex is going to cross 16k mark. When we are cautious and be prepared, we can handle any situation. Mr.Maharshi is just trying to make us cautious - that's it.
Posted by: Mr Suresh KVS At: 25, May 2006 9:05:27 AM IST Please do not publish these kinds of articles in the future. This is my sincere request to TP.
Mr.Maharshi seems to be well read person but unfortunately he seems to carry quite a few half baked opinions and ideas.
Its unfortunate to say that after taking the pains of reading through your article, all it shows is the insecurities you have within you and also the negative attitude you posses.
Well the first thing you should realize is 'Change is constant' and if you take it in the right spirit you would always excel in life.
Sad part is that the author himself does not realize the above fact and on top of it trying to scare the readers.
The way the author analyzed the reduction or vanishing of IT employment with atomization of software’s themselves and also drying up of projects in near future is just plain ridiculous.
As long as the humans are trying to better the processes the projects would never dry up. The author should always be reminded that change is continues.
No system is perfect, it needs corrections may be even total rebuild. So new software applications would be conceived always and even new systems would be developed to support them.
If you are an optimist like me, then you might imagine the future like this J
Say near future some new operating system would be invented which would replace everything and would be million times better in performance than what we are witnessing now. And all the applications have to rewritten/migrate to suit the new system. I see mind-blowing opportunities there.
As long as people innovate (jobs)..New technologies would emerge...and u need people to implement (jobs) and maintain (jobs) those technologies.
I see no dearth of IT opportunities in the future too as long as you are upto date and ready for change, in some shape or form IT would be the prime white collar job generator.
It might not be as attractive when it comes to pay packet as more people come into this field but atleast I don’t see it dying like the way Mr. Maharshi interpreted his fears.
