| Civil rights activists are out of synch with the general public as far as naxalism is concerned. People expect police to take proactive measures in dealing with the naxals.
If the civil rights people want naxalism to be treated as a socio-economic and political issue rather than a law and order one, police and the govt should have no problem with that approach but with 'one simple condition'; let naxals bid fare-well to arms and everyone will treat the issue as the naxals want it.
When the country is facing seroius threat from the jehadi-terrorists, the tolerance-level of the govt as well as the public for the naxal-activities is zero; naxals and their sympathisers, who are not small in number and that includes politicians and even ministers, must be aware of this simple fact.
Any development is possible, only when peace prevails. Having said all this, let me also say that in order to deal with the naxals effectively, police do not, and I repeat do not, require any additional powers. They are doing fine now.

Previously, there is a saying that '100 criminals can be released but one innocent should not be punished'. But according to today's criminalogy, '100 innocents can be punished but one criminal should not be released'. These so-called people's Rights leaders are only supporting criminals. In no country in the world allows minors to carry firearms. Is Mavo's country allowing this??
