| Okay. I agree with you all in full. We lost the empires due to the habbits inhibited into our lives by the Brahmins. This we learnt very late when we lost the entire empire to Reddys and Velamas. I am above this criticism since I fully understood and agreed over the facts revealed by you all here. I am not ignorant of these. But the Reddy community went on ruling the people of A.P. in a way just opposite to the old Reddy kings of A.P. The entire Reddy caste/community started suppressing the other BC & FCs also. See the names and the list of the Governors/Chief Ministers.Ministers in Union & A.P. you will find only Reddys commanding the power and positions as if other castes/communities are unfit to contest elections and win.All the local diplomats/VCs/Registrars. Chairmen of TTD & other Boards are again filled with Reddy caste people only. Most of the CMs in A.P. are Reddys only with Congress as their birth-right party. Unlike the Reddy kings you have mentioned in your comments over mine here, these Reddy CMs of A.P. looted the people and most notorious are Chenna Reddy/Dhanarjana Reddy. You all know these facts very well but you are not able to agree this unlike me who agreed to all the facts over my caste. Today Reddy power means nepotism and corruption only. Today Karunakara REDDY is appointed as the Chairman of the TTD in the place of Thikkavarapu Subbirami REDDY. Why REDDY again and again as if other caste/community people are all rogues and must not be selected to get appointment to any post in the Govt of A.P. I am sure a day is not far off when the Kshatriya caste/community will definitely come to power and rule (and not loot like REDDYs)the state of A.P. Wait and see yourselves. Posted by: Mr. Devendra Verma Verma At: 26, Aug 2006 12:39:05 PM IST I feel sorry for your ignorance. Everbody ruled India, not only just your community. Those are the by gone days. We are in 21st century and still hanging on to your caste and creed. Shame on you to look at what others did. Show your talent to the world and make it a better world. It looks like you are disillusioned. Please come to the reality and make it a better world by contributing yourself. Whether you rule or some one rules AP, they have to do for the betterment of all the communities. If some one did a foolish thing doesn't mean to say that you should do it. Therefore, wakeup my dear friend and do your best for all, irrespective of caste and creed. Otherwise you will be nothing in this world. For your information only;
After the fall of Kakatiya empire in 1323 A.D, a great movement for independence was led by two cousins who served as Military commanders under King Prataparudra. They belonged to Musunuri clan hailing from Krishna district. Musunuri Prolaya Nayaka ably assisted by Kaapaya Nayaka united all the warrior castes of Telugu land and successfully recaptured Warangal from the Delhi Sultanate. However, the unity of Telugu land lasted only for fifty years. After the death of Prolaya, Reddy and Velama Chiefs controlling Kondavidu and Rachakonda, respectively, became independent. Rajahmahendravaram was ruled by Reddys approximately for 95 years(1353 - 1448 AD).
The reign of Reddy Kings: :
Prolaya Vema Reddy established Reddy Dynasty with Addanki as the capital city of his Kingdom. Later it was shifted to Kondaveedu.
Anavota Reddy (1335 - 1364 AD): Anavota Reddy became king of the Reddy dynasty and he conquered many small kingdoms including Nidadavolu(Ruled by Vengi Chalukya's), Vundi (Ruled by Suryavamsa Kshatriya's), Korukonda(Ruled by Kondanayaka's), Pithapuram(Ruled by Koppularaju's) before 1356 AD.
Anavema Reddy (1364 -1386 AD): Anavema Reddy brother of Anavota Reddy was also an able ruler. His ruled his kingdom Nirvajyapuram(Nidadavolu) as his capital city. During his rule he conquered Rajahmahendrapuram, Korukonda, Pithapuram, Kalingam and Simhachalam and annexed them into his kingdom.
Komaragiri(Kumaragiri) Reddy (1386 - 1402 AD): Komaragiri Reddy was the son of Anavota Reddy. Internal disputes raised in the kingdom before his occupation of the throne. Katayavema Reddy (Senapathi) chief of Army of Anavota Reddy and Brother-in-law of Komaragiri Reddy) and PedaKomati Vema Reddy were the root of all the internal disputes. The rulers of different parts of the kingdom announced their Independence and didn't pay their taxes. To suppress the revolt Katayavema Reddy and Anavotareddy, the second visited Rajamahendrapuram.
Harihara Rayalu, the Vijayanagara ruler, married his daughter Hariharamba to Katayavema Reddy on knowing his valor. Though internal disputes stopped for some time, it raised again in no time.
Katayavema Reddy (1395 - 1414 AD): Katayavema Reddy ruled Rajahmundry for 19 years. He fought many wars against Pedakomativema Reddy. He extended his kingdom up to Katam. He had one son, Komaragiri Reddy and two daughters, Anitally and Hariharamba.
Allada Reddy (1414 - 1423 AD): Komaragiri Reddy was only 10yrs old by the time Katayavema Reddy died(in 1414). Allada Reddy ruled the kingdom on his behalf. Unfortunately Komaragiri Reddy also died. Pedakomati Vema Reddy raised a war against the kingdom twice, but Allada Reddy defeated him both the times. Allada Reddy made a treaty with Kalingas and Vijayanagara Emperors.
Veerabhadra Reddy (1423 - 1448): Alladareddy died in the year 1423 AD and Veerabhadra Reddy became the ruler of the Reddy dynasty. Rajamahendravaram was his Kingdom. Devarayalu, the second conquered the Rajamahendravaram and Simhachalam forts. The Reddy dynasty had it's decline started due to the wars raised by the Recharla Velama's and Gajapathi's.

Famous Poets in the Reddy kingdom:
Errana was a great poet in the court of Prolaya Vemareddy (1325-1353), the founder of Reddy dynasty (1325-1424) of Kondaveedu, who ruled Guntur, Prakasam, Nellooru, and Kurnoolu districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Errana is also known as Yellapregada or Errapregada. He is honored with the title Prabandha Parameshwara (the supreme lord of Prabandha). He belongs to Kavitrayamu (the trinity of poets) who translated Mahabharatamu. The other two poets are Nannaya and Tikkana. Nannaya translated two and a half parvamulu (books) of Mahabharatamu. Tikkana translated the remaining books starting from the 4th, leaving the half finished third book, Aranya Parvamu (the Book of Forest), for Errana. Tikkana did not touch this part because it was considered to be inauspicious to translate this book, which was left half-finished by Nannaya. He started the remaining half of the Aranya book with the style of Nannaya and ended it with the style of Tikkana as a bridge between the part translated by Nannaya and the rest translated by Tikkana. Just like Nannaya and Tikkana, he used half Sanskrit and half Telugu in his so called Telugu translation of Sanskrit Mahabharatamu. Thus, the Sanskrit Mahabharatamu is translated into Telugu over a period of several centuries beginning with Nannaya (11th AD to 14 century). Ramayanamu, and Harivamshamu are some of his other translations from Sanskrit originals. He dedicated these two translations to the king, Prolaya Vemareddy. Nrusimhapuranamu is his own independent work.
Srinathudu, known as KaviSarvabhowma, is probably the most famous telugu poet. He was a poet and Chief Educational Officer in Pedakomati Vema Reddy's court. His works include Maruttaratcharitra, Salivaahanasaptasati, Panditaaraadhyacharitra, Sringaaranaishadhamu, Haravilaasamu, Bheemakhanda Kaashikhandamulu, Kreedaabhiraamamu, Sivaraatrimahaatmyamu and Palnaativeeracharitramu. His love for women is reflected in his literary works.

Posted by: Dr. Satyanarayana Reddy Tangirala At: 25, Aug 2006 11:58:32 PM IST for all attn:
Since you asked for my caste/community, pl note.
We are Sooryavamsa Kshatriyas of areas like Bobbili, Vijayanagaram, Kakinada, Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Narasapur etc.
We have ruled the parts of Andhra Pradesh as Samantha Rajulu to the British Empire until Aug 1942. We have donated a great deal to the maala, maadhiga, chaakali, mangali etc and celebrated their chhildren's weddings amounting to more than 2300 by 1941. Many Reddys begged us for cultivable land, free houses, medicines etc and we have also donated them. But after Freedom in August 1947 we were sidelined and kept away from power and positions etc. During Indira Gandhi rule we were subjected to great humuliations.
We are sure we will one day come to power in Andhra and rule the state once again. You the Reddys, Kammas will see this change practically sooner or later.
Posted by: Mr. Devendra Verma Verma At: 25, Aug 2006 2:25:53 PM IST These comments are un acceptable. If you are really literate, then show your talent. It looks like empty vessels make much noise like you Mr. Verma. I do not know what community you belong to but certainly NOT all your community people will NOT born as you said but you will be born like as mentioned on Reddy community in your next generation.
Telugupeople.com should feel ashamed of for publishing such a non-sense letter online without looking at the content. One should be Brahman and not Reddy or Brahmin or BC or SC or ST. Talent always shines.
Posted by: Dr. Satyanarayana Reddy Tangirala At: 23, Aug 2006 8:45:21 PM IST The book 'VISWAMBHARA' by Dr CN Reddy MA PhD does not deserve the award of GJNANAPEET even today. It is totally an award given to the Reddy Community and not for the calibre of anyone. Despite this fact, he is again awarded the same once more, a mockery at all the rest of the un-recognised Brahmin and BC poets all over the state. None understands what calibre Dr CNR got to be the Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt of A.P. and Adviser to the Govt of A.P. during Vijayabhaskara Reddy's time as CM. Great rogues recognises only the other rogues. Enough is enough so far to Dr CNR and the present govt(of Dr YSR Reddy) at least can peep into the other equally (or more) talented Brahmin and BCs in A.P. and recognise them. Otherwise these so called Reddys will be born as Donkeys, Horses, Lorry & RTC Bus Drivers, Indian Rlys Goods Wagon Drivers, Rly Kalasis, Scavangers etc in their next generatipon.

Mr. Devendra Varma, Just because Medasani Mohan was 'rewarded' and Subbanna Sataavadhani was not 'rewarded' , do you think that Subbanna Satavadhani is unable to live? Each of these great poets has got his own worth. Definitely they are not carbon copies of someone else.
Perhaps Subbanna garu may not be knowing the tricks of the trade. Or he may not be bothered about public approbation. Any way, why should we compare one with the other as long as each of them has his own identity?
What we are interested in any poet is regarding his 'present contribution' by virtue of his past accomplishments and glory.

Posted by: PRANAV At: 21, Aug 2006 4:33:47 PM IST Whatever is the comment of other readers here, one fact is a fact only. Viswanatha Satyanarayana was suppressed, CNR was lifted. It is exclusively only on one reason CNR being a Reddy. All the credits, awards, posts, positions etc were to CNR's account only during the Reddy caste people were ruling the state. You can tear off your stomach, tongue, but the fact is fact only. Many donot know how he got his second term award. It is because of the recommendation of Nedurumalli Dhanarjana Reddy when he was the CM of A.P. Still there are many a number of non-Reddy Poets, writers, Professors etc who are 200 times better than CNR, but they were not preferred. For example there is a poet, critic, writer, sathavadhani by name Dr C V Subbanna Sathavadhani from Proddatur infront of whom nobody is equal in writing poetry, recitation of poems on the spot within seconds grammatically. The entire world of poets knows it but could not do anything just because one reason that he is a BC from Padmashali caste. Instantly Dr Medasaani Mohan PhD(Kamma from Chittoor Dt) now in TTD is also a sathavadhanni but a big zero in front of Dr CV Subbanna Sathavadhani. It is said many times by people who witnessed the ashtavadhanams of Dr CV Subbanna, that they felt that they were witnessing the avadhanams of Tirupati Venkatakavulu (after their death).Such was the reputation. But still though CV Subbanna was also a MA PhD & Dlitt etc, he was not chosen for any post by the respective govts that came to power. There are (yesterday & today) many a number of song writers for telugu cinemas who can write much better than CNR but they were not preferred and again suppressed. Even their songs were not taken by any newspaper also. Caste feelings were so much in today's andhra.
