Apart from other socio political factors, perhaps lack of self respect as Telugu speakers also contributes to the present state of affairs.
We need to remind the younger generation about the great progress acheived by eminent writers in the past and help them notice the vast potential of common and semi literate population that can contribute significantly. This can perhaps be achieved by lifting some of the present linguistic and cultural barriers.
