Mr Balaji, I liked ur article a lot i have also read many of the comments that have come about. I think the problem is not just with the job market it is also with the educational institutions. The colleges or universities in India (as far as i know) are very cutoff from the community, if there was more interaction between the community and the colleges the situation would be different. Like for example i did my architecture in India, if the city government there had given our college a live project and asked all the students to work on it. they would have saved a hell lot of money on the project at the same time the students could have got a lot of practical experience.. it would have increased the marketability of the student also b'cos he worked on a live project. We always think very traditionally in india.. if we start coming up with new concepts in education that would tie the student to the community or give the community an oportunity to understand the potential of students i am sure the situation would be much better

Dear Mr Balaji I favour this. Idi chaalaa mukhya charche. For this many Favour/Anti reactions maight have come. Important points raising by many out of this are:- This idea is very good but, what about these following things. 1) where are the jobs for us. 2) Where is the Govt support. 3) Curruption every where. 4) Politicians and their worst politics 5) Uncontrolled population growth 6) Govt. laws/political candidates election laws, keeping in mind the vote banks of uneducated sectors of population. 7) Political leaders linked with Dadagiri. 8) Greediness of parents,to earn through their NRI sons, since they failed or not able to obtain money power(forgetting to teach their children to live peacefully with self content. BUT ALL THESE PROBLEMS WHO HAS TO CHANGE. [IF CHANGED-EVERY BODY MAY COME & LIVE IN INDIA] This is like, who has to Bell the Cat. SOME BODY,MUST COME & DO SOME THING MIRACLE. BUT NOT BY US. Who has to change the Govt/Politicians/Uncontroled Population/Self greediness for lots of money. Here note that,as observed & I think every body agrees that the population growth is rapid in uneducated people & educated people are reducing the growth ,with fear of Cost of living for their children. If every body of these educated run away ,from the problem,by even not VOTING,to select &elect the good poitical candidate,by also educating the uneducated citizens, who will govern us,except the politicians like now, whom we are feeling bad about. Dear Friends, where is that, our Bharatamata/Annapurna,who gave food not only in their houses but also those who approached their houses,at any time of the day. So,the changes will come only,if each one of us,developes WILL POWER in self, with the SELF CONTENT ,INDEPENDENTNESS,Leaving the desire to earn for Grand Grand children and last but not least,SELECTING & ELECTING the proper POLITICIANS by VOTING and all this only to Govern us only. Nice you raised good point. Raghu Rami Reddy N

Mr.Balaji Once you work abroad, you will not write this article. The biggest advantage working abroad, is you are recognised for your work and inputs, and not chamchagiri, dadagiri, political uncles, etc etc. U better start searching for a job, as i dont find anyone supporting your comments.

No doubt your article is good.Imagine if all the indians in usa or from all countries come back to india which is itself overpopulated ........what would happen?there are lakhs of indians around the world.Leave about government providing jobs to us.....remember, lakhs of people will have to lose jobs if all indians come back.I didn't mean to hurt you but i want you to know the pain everybody faced to get a job,the consequences which led them to get out of India. We don't take pride in coming here.we feel the pain to live away from our parents ,our people, our friends. The word India awakens us .The moment we land on that Earth brings a feeling of joy,a tear in our eyes,a feeling of oneness.Do you people ever sense that wonderful feeling anytime? .Patriotism doesn't me living in India .It means living For India.Ptriotism doesn't mean staying in India doing nothing. It means doing something despite being away from India.Let your statement be given by some unemployed ,qualified, pained, graduate .It is then we will believe what patriotism really means. sharmila sanka

kati balaji garu, Very good article.. I am working in California USA now. Nenu oka engineering graduate ni ( passed in 1990). I was unemployed for four years after my graduation in India. Talent leka kadu..oppurtunities leka..I might have spent thousands fo rupees on postal orders..application fees..postage..photocopying..what not..nothing seemed to workout..me and my husband then moved to New Zealand. Where luckily I was able to find a job within a very short time..I do not know what I would have done for india had I stayed back in India..probably nothing more than waste my education. Now I feel more productive..more happier..less frustrated..

Hey buddy, I saw lot of patroitism in your words.. I wish that in every citizen of our country. Regarding working abroad, I would like to highlight few things here. I have my batch mates who are better, intelligent than me in india and jobless since months. Is our government providing them anything? Being a software engineers, still we work for multinational companies in india, because they provide opportunities rather than our govt. Then what difference it makes we work in abroad or in india. Moreover I see lot of patroitism ppl living abroad rather in india. NRIs are contributing a lot to the foreign exchange. Today RBI reserves are full of dollars which was a dream earlies to our country. Though we work abroad, we invest in india which is a positive sign. I think balaji, you have not seen real world yet.. may be u r fresh from college and failed to get visa for abroad.. If we come back from abroad, is there any opportunity for us. No Way... Our country is filled with political bastards,,, Our country will come only when that political mess is cleared from the roots.

i certainly agree to words of MR.BALAJI. and i sincerely hope his words would come true one day.. but the fact is most people working abroad do have a miserable life over there too..i present myself as an example for that.i being a computer professional rite now working in toronto earn something around $36k, which i possibly would not be earning even half that much with the knowledge i hav got.so,most people working abroad are really misfits in INDIA as company recruits only the best of the best,,and everyone cant be the best.An average person like me couldnt even start to make a life..tats the core problem.

Dear Balaji, If NRI's come back to INDIA or contribute technically, financially or invest in India, nothing is going to happen nor India will become super power. If govt implements few new laws saying 1."UNDER SECTION 2003 if any one finds taking bribe he will be hanged till death". By Year 2005 India can automatically become super power. 2."UNDER SECTION 2003A SHOOT AT SIGHT orders for parents who don't educate their children". 3."UNDER SECTION 2003B NAKED MARTHON from Kashmir to kanyakumari for anyone misusing power." And few more such new laws and implement them... So let balaji and all NRI's mail this petition to Atalji and tell to Implement this. And my Dear 90% of NRI's are contributing in some or other way for motherland. Balaji can u post what u have contributed for India. Singh B B.

Hi Balaji, I do agree that "Brain Drain" is serious problem/threat to INDIA.Infact am one of the NRI.India is not only the country facing such problem but what India is doing to attract such great brains. We dont need to study what all the countires are doing just we can see what our neibhouring country CHINA is doing. If the Indian Govt thinks very seriouly to attract NRI,I m sure there will be great response. Regards, Ramesh.

I think Very small portion of 1 Billion Indians are NRIs. The majority Indians are mainly still trying to make both ends meet and in no way effected by any of these discussions. Infact slums, inequality increased in India the last 2 decades with all the developments in computers/technology etc. etc. Still we see beggars everywhere(I feel depressed when people can give loads of money as donation to God,they can not even think of suffering of fellow human being).Infact this money should be spent in building toilets/houses for the poor and not temples and gold. Still huge amount of money is spent on useless waste expenditure on marriage functions and money is exchanged in Dowry system. To change this system one do not need an M tech or Btech. What we need is primary education to all.
