| Mr. Pulliah Nimma,
You are very much right when you say that I do not have to lose anything or gain anything if a separate state is formed.
kindly go through any of my comments on any of the articles written so far by anybody. No where I talked about an integrated state or a separate state. Same is the case with my own articles.
I love my mother tongue and I rejoice if it is respected everywhere. Do you say it is a crime?
Then, 'How that Telugu has to be?' may be a bone of contention. Views again differ regarding this. You cannot blame others just because somebody is not in line with your thinking. Am I right?
One gentleman calls me 'a frog in the well', 'crocodile tears etc.' - just because I do not fall in line with his way of thinking. Is it fair?
After all, either you or me will not stop continuing our efforts in the direction of our own liking and there is nothing wrong in mustering up
strength by gathering like-minded persons.
I do not understand what made you think that I am either for a composite state or for a separate state. Just do not be carried away due to others' allegations.
I am again reiterating my statement that if it is really the will of the Telanganites to have a separate state, it has to materialise one day or other.
I feel better if we stop this discussion at this stage.
Posted by: SATYA RAMA PRASAD KALLURI At: 4, Nov 2006 11:02:06 PM IST Dear Dr. Kalluri garu: Elections are referendum.
How many times Telangana people have to prove their desire? Every time, the 'occupiers' (sorry to use a harsh word but that is how the Andhra rulers are seen by many Telanganites) interpret them as something else and deny the results. TPS sent 11 MPs to Parliament in 1974(?), TRS and Congress combine, fought the elections in 2004 under the Telangana state banner (even if some conveniently mis-interpret or deny it-it is a fact).
Did the British hold a referendum, whether Indians want them to leave? But for the power hunger of the Andhra majority to subjugate the 40% of the population of Telangana and enjoy the fruits of the region's wealth- why would they want to hang on to the State and use every devious means possible to hang on to it?
In history it is the generous and kind hearted leader or two from the majority that set the minority free and fought their own for it. Look at Abraham Lincol of America who staked the lives of half of America to fight to abolish slavery, Look our own Gandhi but for whose protection muslims wouldn't have had a separate country.
Where are such great men from Andhra? How come we only come across mean spirited, jobs, water and land etc. grabbing leaders from Andhra? Did the suppression of Tamils kill all the decency among our Andhra brothers who learned all evil doings from them and want to use them on Telangana in the name of language?
Why do decent people such as you that don't have anything to lose or gain if Telangana is restored to its Statehood, continue to join the fray of corrupt, self centered, robbing politicians from Andhra and help them propogate their hegemony?
A lot of my Andhra friends are bright and decent people. But none of them take time to know the facts and read anything about Telangana history. But blindly take sides, automatically to support an undemocratic alliance perpetrated by few of their old leaders that are not men of their words. That never honored a single agreement with Telangana.
Telangana Leaders like Chenna Reddy and now KCR are always blamed for the separation demand. What these people don't understand is that the people of Telangana always wanted their own State. It only comes out in the open whenever they find a leader that can make their voice heard and give them some hope.
Please, don't take this personal. It is not about you and not even about me as an individual. It is about the illegitimate domination of people of one area over others for selfish reasons and spreading an immoral neo-colonial occupation and its propagation.

Mr. Madhusudan Reddy,
I am sorry for your inability to differentiate between genuine tears and crocodile tears.
I need not explain that my tears are genuine - just to please people like you.
I have been clear from the beginning. In fact, I welcome a referendum on this issue of Telangana if possible.
Just as you do not believe our feelings, we too need not believe that people like you, who claim to be the 'custodians of Telangana pride' (though self-appointed) represent the voice of all the Telangana people.
What happened in the last general election was a 'make-shift' arrangement between Congress & TRS. Later, TRS got 'apparently' weakened in the subsequent local body elections. That aspect should also be considered, if you are really unbiased. Likewise, the election result of one place like Karimangar cannot be construed as the voice of the entire Telangana.
If the real will of the majority of Telanganites is to have a separate state, it has to prevail one day or the other. Otherwise it will be confined to some slogans from people like you.
Please understand that neither your blessings nor the 'curses' ( as imagined by you) from us can get a separate Telangana/Andhra/Rayalaseema.
Posted by: SATYA RAMA PRASAD KALLURI At: 4, Nov 2006 8:35:22 PM IST Mr. Kalluri and Dr. Rohiniprsad should stop sheding crocadile tears for Telangana. Telangana sentiment is not just in three districts. The Sarpanch of Algadapa, Nalgonda district conducted a poll this week and 99% people voted for seperate telangana state. Telangana people lived as a seperate nation for 400 years and Dr. Rohiniprasad comment looks silly that Telangana people don't know how to rule themselves. Both gentlemen mind is limited to think like a frog in a well.
Posted by: Mr. M kakulavaram At: 4, Nov 2006 11:14:05 AM IST Tejan garu,
I am from Andhra and I have so many friends from Telangana area and I can totally understand their feelings. I whole heartedly support separate Telangana State. I totally agree with you on all the points. Telangana people sincerely want 'their own' state for many genuine reasons - and it's the responsibility of every person in the whole state to respect their feelings.
With Telangana, the popularity of Telugu will increase not decrease. Having two states for Telugus is better than one - and there will be an internal competetion between these two Telugu states and we can definitely grow better than anybody else in India. Telugus will have a better voice at the central level. Though there are two states, there are many things that can be done together, jointly, such as promoting Telugu languate.
I wish Telangana should come as soon as possible.
Posted by: Mr Suresh KVS At: 3, Nov 2006 7:21:31 AM IST Vijaya babu garu is obviously not from Telangana.
It is nice to talk big words about globalization and united vishalandhra etc and look down upon the people that are fighting for equality and protect what is God given to them as narrow minded, etc.
First the idea of one state for one language is itself a false premise. There are 9-Hindhi speaking states in India, and having two Telugu speaking states isn't the end of the world.
It is OK to blame the politicians and political leadership for all ills of the state. But how can you explain 85% to 90% of the state employment in administration and in judiciary dominated by people of one region? How can you explain 18 lakh acres of pre-UAP Telangana ayacut going down to 12 Lakhs, when at the same time the Andhra area ayacut more than doubling?
How can you explain only the Andhra poets and writers etc being recognized and all of Telangana poets and artists ignored? How many of the idols on Hussain sagar tank bunnd can be identified with Telangana?
How can you explain, Telugu Cinemas casting Telangana people as villians and ruffians roles?
You talk about Potti sreeramulu. No doubt a great man. That fought against the domination of Andhras by the Tamils and fought for Liberation. I only wish he was alive to-day to fight for liberation of Telangana against the domination of Andhra leadership.
Blaming a leader here or there isn't the answer. General population and their leadership of the majority in the state has full responsibility for making Telanganaites feel alienated. They must face the consequences and let Telanganites have the same freedom that they got from Tamils.
Nobody is asking Telugus from Andhra to leave Telangana. Stay, become a part of the region and work for its welfare.
A hungry man only wants to hear one word-Food. Any thing else is waste of breath. So, is all this high and mighty words of unity and One Telughu family etc. Show your great heart by supporting the 50 year demand of Telanganites for self rule without the domination of 60% of the neo-colonists.
