Mr. Reddy, You have typed 16 lines without answering even his first question ... lemme repeat the question .. WHAT GODS and ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT .. ARYAN GODS OR DRAVIDIAN GODS? If you can answer this question straight, I think amny of the things would be clear.

Kameshwar Rao garu, It seems you did not read my last post carefully. If you accept there are Telugu people who have lived and flourished between Krishan and Godavari rivers and had disticnt culture and language for milleniums, then you can understand about the invaders and the imposition of their culture and language on Telugu people. Kancha Ilaih described how rural people worship their own Gods using thier own language Telugu, not Sanskrit. You fail to understand the Aryan vedic culture was interupted by Buddhism, Islam and British rule, yet you think it is a continuous flow. Same way telugu language and telugu culture is continuous flow inspite of interuption by invaders, yet we survived and preserved it. Thank god we are free and independant, now we can bring back our true langauge and culture from the shadow of Sanskrit and Urdu and English. All telugu people must rise and fight for Telugu pride and reject those forces who are undermining our Gods, our culture and our language. PS: I said earlier I salute the progreesive Brahmins who are not afraid of seeking the truth. We have these mainstream Andhra Brahmins whose primary interest is to preve Sanskrit and gloriy the Aryan/Vedic/sanskrit culture at the expense of telugu language and Telugu culture and pride.

Madu garu, I expected straight answers to my questions. If you don't have answers to them you should have agreed instead of telling something else. I repeat my questions, please try to give straight answers to them one by one. If you cannot, I request you to atleast think yourself as to why you don't have the answers. 1. The archanas or manthralu that you talk about (that you want to be in telugu) are in which temples? Are they of Aryan gods or Dravidian gods? 2. If you talk about mantralu in marriages, is it aryan marriage or dravidian marriage tradition? 3. Regarding your statement 'Telugu people have great history, culture and language and we wanted to be proud of it.', can you explain what the history is, what the culture is and what that language is? Is it aryan culture and sanskrit mixed language or is it pure dravidian culture with pure telugu language? 4. For last 1000 years, can you tell me if there exists a 'telugu' culture, language that is 'pure' telugu/dravidian in any region of Andhra pradesh now? 5. Do you want to ignore this culture, history of last 1000 odd years (or more if you talk about pre-aryan culture that you say) and want the whole telugu community to go backwards in the time?

Posted by: Saleem At: 24, Feb 2007 11:41:31 AM IST ____________________________________________________ But isnt it true that every language has an overlap with one or more languages? Dont Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Marthi, Bengali and even Tamil contain Sanskrit words? Yeah Bhadriraju .. he was our Vice-Chancellor (a decade and a half ago!) at the Hyderabad Central University!

Posted by: Mr. MadhusudanReddy Kakulavaram At: 24, Feb 2007 4:05:43 AM IST ____________________________________________________ OUTRIGHT LIES ABOUT THAT FICTICIOUS ARYANS-DRAVIDIAN THEORY ONCE AGAIN? IT IS BELIEVED THAT ARYAN RACE NEVER EXISTED AND ITS ONLY THE NARROW MINDED BIGOTS WHO PROPOSED THE ARYAN INVASION THEORY! WOULD YOU CARE TO FIRST ANSWER ME WHETHER YOU HAVE ASKED ANY ANDHRA MUSLIM TO PERFORM NAMAZ IN TELUGU? YOUR SILENCE ON THIS WOULD ONLY TELL EVERYONE WHAT YOUR ARE :))

Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 24, Feb 2007 9:40:05 AM IST
Mr. Reddy, Telugu temples belong to telugu people and they have every right to expect archanas(manthralu) to be performed in Telugu ____________________________________________________ It is upto the Devasthanam to decide the norms for a specific temple. I am saying again that I dont see anything wrong in having prayers in Telugu, but it should be left to the individual - nothing can be imposed. You are yet to answer my age-old question - WOULD YOU DARE TO ASK ANY ANDHRA MUSLIM TO PERFORM NAMAZ IN TELUGU INSTEAD OF ARABIC? Telugu people have great history, culture and language and we wanted to be proud of it. ____________________________________________________ Andhra or Telangana has nothing to do with it - it doesnt really matter whether we have 2 states or 20 states as long as people live peacefully and its for the majority fo the people to decide whether to have one state or two states. Nobody can over-rule the majority opinion. Yes, every Andhrite is proud of his/her language but being proud of your culture doesnt mean you have to insult the other langauge by depicting them in a wrong manner. Moreover everybody is an Indian first and then an Andhrite or Tamilian. So anything born in India and worth its value definitely make same feel proud be it Sanskrit or Tamil or Telugu. It is not fair to hate Sir CV Raman, Swami Vivekananda, Jagdish Chandrabose or Hargobind Khurana just because they are not Telugus.
