| Madu garu,
The archanas or manthralu that you talk about are in which temples? Are they of Aryan gods or Dravidian gods? If you talk about mantralu in marriages, is it aryan marriage or dravidian marriage tradition?
Regarding your statement 'Telugu people have great history, culture and language and we wanted to be proud of it.', can you explain what the history is, what the culture is and what that language is? Is it aryan culture and sanskrit mixed language or is it pure dravidian culture with pure telugu language? For last 1000years, can you tell me if there exists a 'telugu' culture, language that is 'pure' telugu/dravidian in any region of Andhra pradesh now? Do you want to ignore all this culture of last 1000 odd years (or more if you talk about pre-aryan culture that you say) and want the whole telugu community to go backwards in the time?

When I go to temple, I wanted to hear prayers in telugu. Is it a crime?
____________________________________________________
It is not a crime. Build your own temple and recite all the prayers in Telugu - Who Objects?
I wanted to read simple telugu words instead of Sanskrit words
____________________________________________________
Read them - who is stopping you - but why are you asking others to hate Sanskrit?
If a small contry like Sweadan with 3 Million can have their own language, why can't 80 Million Telugu people have to use so many sanskrit words?

Leave it to the individuals to speak what they want. If one prefers to use onez version of Telugu leave the choice to one - you cant ask one to hate Sanskrit. Language, like religion is purely a choice of the individual.
You Sanskrit zealots calling telugu neecha basha for 1000 years
_________________________________________________
You rumour mongers spread this kind of information based on isolated incidents. I have not seen anyone calling Telugu Neecha Bhasha and if you can see your screen properly read my previous message - I said Both Sanskrit and Telugu have their respective factors to be great. It is you who is saying Telugu is better than Sanskrit - So you should call yourself a Telugu Zealot or Bigot or whatever. I respect Telugu, Sanskrit for that matter any otehr language. I dont have a reason to hate a particular language - it is after all, means of communication.
That is an insult to Telugu language lovers!

Something does not become Sanskrit just I say so or you say so. And you knoe what is the real insult to the whole Telugu Community - Hating otehr langauges in the guise of promoting Telugu

When I go to temple, I wanted to hear prayers in telugu. Is it a crime? When I read newspapers or textbooks, I wanted to read simple telugu words instead of Sanskrit words. Is it too much to ask 50 years after independance for the 10th largest spoken language of the WORLD? If a small contry like Sweadan with 3 Million can have their own language, why can't 80 Million Telugu people have to use so many sanskrit words? This battle has started 100 years ago by Sri Gidugu Ramamoorthy, what we gained 100 years later, Nothing! You Sanskrit zealots calling telugu neecha basha for 1000 years. Please don't write sanskrit in Telugu script and call it Telugu language. That is an insult to telugu language lovers!
Posted by: Mr. M kakulavaram At: 23, Feb 2007 5:21:22 AM IST If one wants to use more Telugu, others should encourage one, for its a noble cause - But there is no reason to demonise Sanskrit.
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Feb 2007 4:59:57 AM IST read it as
but these Romila Thapars and Witzels hardly found anything convincing. Why?
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Feb 2007 4:48:34 AM IST Aryans were white race, spoke Sanskrit, worshipped Indra and later Avatara Gods, and divided their society into 3 castes(Later added native brown Dravidian Indians as Shudras, 4th caste
____________________________________________________
Shiva was not an Aryan God .. is it?
And about the Race, is there an evidence based on DNA studies that their genes were different from Dravidian genes?
Indians spoke Prakrit too along with Sanskrit. All the Vedas refer to Indian geographical features - not Europen .. had it been a Euroipean Language there would have been instances of the usage of Sankstrit somewhere in Europe - but these Romila Thapars and Witzels found anything convincing. Why?
If Dravidians existed before Aryans then you must have Tamil and Telugu cultures all-over India But why are they confined to South and Central India?
----------------------------------------------------
Dravidians were racially brown people, spoke Dravidian languages like Telugu, Tamil, worshipped Siva and Kali, divided their society into jathi(kulam) system where all jathis were equal.
Brown people are found all over India, Pakisthan, Bangladesh and SriLanka. Mixed White people are found few in number and their Kshatria and Vaishya catse does exist in only few places in North India.
___________________________________________________
Even the fairest of Indian is classified as Brown and the Skin color of an Indian never matches with the Skin Color of any European ... This is because the Skin colors are mainly influenced by the climate. And this is the first time I am hearing somebody determining the race of the person by looking at the skin color -- HAVENT YOU EVER SEEN SIBLINGS, ONE OF WHOM IS VERY FAIR AND THE OTHER BEING DARK? Do you mean to say they belong to different races? Thank God, there is no DNA guy around to look at this!
The invaders come in small groups and impose their language and culture once they conquer. Muslims did the same, English did the same and so also the Aryans did the same
____________________________________________________
This is absolute CRAP! Just becase the ENglish invade, you assume that a ficticious race called Aryans did it too?
You proponents of the AIT know very well that the Aryan Race Never Existed and everybody was Indian. and that the word Aryan was just a title!(Prof. Witzel openly announced recently that he wouldnt subscribe to the Aryan Invasion Theory), but yet try to spread LIES and ABSOLUTE LIES just to spread hatred!
If Telugu people want to be proud of their own race, language and culture, why is it your problem? Speaking English does not make me British? I am still a telugu.
____________________________________________________
Why would I care whether you are a Telugu or a Britisher. All I know is that you are not the representative of all the Telugu People - so speak for yourself not for the whole Telugu Community. There are many many Telugu people who dont hate Sanskrit .. Love for Telugu Doesnt mean Hatred for Sanskrit. Both have got great history and any attempt to malign either of them is really offensive.
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Feb 2007 4:47:25 AM IST I repeat, your OUTRIGHT LIES ( YES, ABSOLUTE LIES ) about Aryan Invasion theory would not become facts just because you copy paste them a thousand types.
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Feb 2007 2:22:51 AM IST Telugu people are more interested to know thier language and culture, not how great Sanskrit is or how old Sanskrit literature. May be you should go to sanskritpeople.com to discuss those isuue.
____________________________________________________
Are you the single representative of Telugu people living across the world?
And applying your logic back on you, THIS IS ALSO NOT THE PLACE TO SHOW YOUR HASTRED ON SOME LANGAUGE AND OPENLY SHOW OFF YOUR CASTE BASED BIGOTISM - There are many caste-association related sites to do that!!
AND THE WORST PART OF THIS IS CLINGING ON TO THE FICTICIOUS AND SERIOUSLY FLAWED ARYAN INVASION THEORY TO SUPPORT WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SAY!
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Feb 2007 2:19:52 AM IST True colors of this man are now out, at last LOLZ :))
