Oh Sorry.. I realised that this discussion was not against English or Telugu, but Sanskrit. I too do NOT support the theory of Sanskrit was a foreign language. Sanskrit is definitely India's own language. Supporting Telugu should NOT mean fighting against Sanskrit or English. If I get a chance (and time) I will definitely learn Sanskrit.

No body is asking anybody to hate English! The Telugu movement leaders are only trying to keep Telugu alive by promoting its use wherever possible. English is a World language and it's a must for everybody to make a better living. Sending your kids to English Medium school is not bad at all, but not encouraging them to study Telugu as one of the subjects is really bad for any Telugu parent. If Telugu is not available as a subject in the school they are studying (if they live outside AP), they should at least teach Telugu at home. If they don't want to do that - it's up to them - who cares?

Firs of all I wonder how a bidda of Veera Telugu Man went to an English country. How could he master the subjects without the aid of EnglishCan he write a speckless Telugu letter? I suspect Samala a hypocrat. It is confirmed now

Posted by: Mr. kiran kumar thogaru At: 22, Feb 2007 8:48:05 PM IST ____________________________________________________ Well said -- Even the recent studies clearly said that the Aryan-Dravidian thingie never existed and it was created by people with vested interests and propagated by people to spit venom on those they dont like. Look at this man's comment in the 'telugu bhasha pracheenatha' thread - you wouldnt struggle to understand where he is coming from! and look at this argument: Sanskrit is an Indo-European language brought to India by Aryans 1500 BC. That is why it is spoken by very few I am still laughing - going by this logic, as you rightly said, after a few years English should be considered a native language because it would be spoken by many But then, Hindi is younger than Sanskrit, yet spoken by the Majority of people in India!

First of all i didn't understand the actual meaning of this article(telugu pelli).Ii know we will talk only pelli form our grand parents...,or from history itself.Only different types of marriages are there.Nottelugu,english,&so.......may be the concept is different.May be that is their interest.Any way all languags come from sanskrit.Thats why we can understand a little bit about our indian languages, where ever we go.sanskrit is the matruka to all(india).we have to learn along telugu.that means we should not forget our mother(sanskrit). If we want to get command on telugu all over ,so many other ways also there.I mean both are important in marriage. We trust that is devanagara lipi.To protect our telugu language , first of all we have to see from the grossroot level means :In education itself. In other states policies are like that : One state langugae subject shoud be there from LKG even in private schools. That should be there.

Question: Gruhapravesam: Why do we need to do puja for that matter?? Why do we have to tell pelli mantralu in telugu? can a girl and guy stay together without even bothering to have 'Telugu Pelli' or someother pelli? that means, revert to ancient time. Norway style.
