There are many civilizations in this world, they have no written script and no literature still they exist. Dr. Rohiniprasad gave an example of Tuli. Also many American Indians have languages but no script. Most of the rural Indians(including Telugus) worship village Goddesses like Pochamma, Muthyalamma and Maisammma, the spirits of kali. Read Kanch Ilaiah's book 'Why I am not a Hindu?' You think only Vedic Gods are Hindu Gods, that is wrong. Hindus worshipped Siva and Village Goddess more than Dasavatara Gods. Aryan kings were elevated as avatara Gods to promote and glorify Vedic culture after Ramanuja. You go to Telangana villages you will see Siva temples and every villages has Pochmma, Maisamma, Muthyalamma deities. Villagers worship these Godesses without a priest, without Sanskrit manthras and don't tell me that is not worship. Please respect Dravidian languages, Dravidian heritage and Dravidian Gods Siva and kali.

PS: I agree your last comment that we should develop a dictionary of Theta telugu words and encouraged its usage.

This is what I said:

Tell me what is wrong in this statement. No language can exist without a basic word like 'Thalli'. Do we have to replace even such a word. The author wanted to promote telugu language not sanskrit. If you are really a Telugu language lover, try to bring more theta telugu words into usage, not substitute sanskrit words and call it telugu. We have to protect Telugu from Sanskrit zealots that is what the purpose of Telugu Adhikara Bhasah committee. Please think about it.
PS: Just becuase pleople write Sanskrit in English script, we don't call it English. Similary if people write Sanskrit in Telugu script, that does not become Telugu either.

I don't think you call your mother 'Mathru'. We have a word 'thalli' or 'amma' for mother. Is it necessary to call our mother tounge as 'mathru bhasa'? Borrowing other language words when we have our own word is a crime against your mother tounge. Please think about it and make a habit of not using Sanskrit or English words when we have our words. For Telugu people 'Thalli Bhasha' sounds much sweeter than borrowed word you used.
