| Dear Dr. Peyyeti,
Understanding the past is not the same going backward. Why any society wanted to invent two languages when not even 5% of its population were literate. Atleast you have to agree Sanskrit is not native to telugu country. Then why Andhra Brahmins promoting it as if it is our ancestrol language. Some of the distingushed Andhra Brahmins opposed it in the past. Why are you not opposing the use of Sanskrit prayers in our Temples? Why are you not opposing excessive use of Sanskrit words in telugu newspapers and TV news. You gave examples as if all the modern science is derived from Vedas. I never said send back all the Lambadis. Lambadis learning Telugu and assimilating into telugu society. Andhra Brahmins should stop glorifying the Vedic/Sanskrit culture and start respecting telugu language and Telugu people. Ten Crore Telugu people deserve much respect and the telugu language is our glue as Mr. S. Ramesh describes.
PS: When some one says Sanskrit is our ancestrol language, then they are clearly saying they are not Telugu people.

Agreed - but having an opinion is different from deliberately spreading lies, even after being pointed out!
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Apr 2007 7:25:29 PM IST Peyyeti garu,
Let him talk more about history - with each sentence he types, he would only expose the shallownes of his own theories. Let everybody know about the kind of lies he is spreading! It has been clearly proved that there was nothing such as Aryan invasion and everything has been INDIAN!

The advocates of the Invasion theory argue that the inhabitants of Indus valley were Saivites (Siva worshippers) and since Saivism is more prevalent among the South Indians, the inhabitants of the Indus valley region must have been Dravidians. Siva worship, however, is not alien to Vedic culture, and is certainly not confined to South India. The words Siva and Sambhu are not Dravidian in origin as some indologists would have us believe (derived from the Tamil words ‘civa’ - to redden, to become angry, and ‘cembu’ - copper, the red metal). Both words have Sanskrit roots – ‘si’ meaning auspicious, gracious, benevolent, helpful, kind, and ‘sam’ meaning being or existing for happiness or welfare, granting or causing happiness, benevolent, helpful, kind. These words are used in this sense only, right from their very first occurrence. 8 Moreover, some of the most important holy places for Saivites are located in North India: the traditional holy residence of Lord Siva is Mount Kailasa situated in the far north. Varanasi is the most revered and auspicious seat of Saivism. There are verses in the Rg Veda mentioning Siva and Rudra and consider him to be an important deity. Indra himself is called Siva several times in Rg Veda (2:20:3, 6:45:17, 8:93:3).
So Siva is not a Dravidian divinity only, and by no means is he a non-Vedic divinity. Indologists have also presented terra-cotta lumps found in the fire-alters in Harappa and taken them to be Siva-lingas, implying that Saivism was prevalent among the Indus valley people. But these terra-cotta lumps have been proved to be the measures for weighing commodities by shopkeepers and merchants. Their weights have been found in perfect integral ratios, in the manner like 1 gm, 2 gms, 5 gms, 10 gms etc. They were not used as the Siva-lingas for worship, but as the weight measurements.

Lets see what other stupid theories would this guy bring across now :))
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 23, Apr 2007 3:44:06 AM IST In the light of the disproof of the Aryan invasion theory, that article doesnt make any sense too!
Everybody knows that this theory had been propagated by the people with vested interests or the Caste bigots.

Which Gods are you talking about? Aryan or Dravidian (in your own terms, Thanks to Mr Kameswararao) -- Why dont you answer this first and then type in your lies? You ran off from that thread because you could not answer the question?
Copy pasting an idiotic message 10 times doesnt make it sensible and I am as foolish as you cominbg to stupid arguments.

'Can you tell me from where Andhra Brahmins migrated from and When?..'
Please read Parbrhma Shastry's article:

Posted by: Mr. M kakulavaram At: 22, Apr 2007 11:36:30 PM IST Dear Prof. Sundaram,
Mr. Prabrhama Shastry wrote earlier in 'andhra telinga samasylu' in tp.com and rasied the issue why we have two names for our language - Telugu and Andhra. Kankadurga Dantu wrote an article in AJ last year saying the language Andhra bhasha is limited only to Andhra Brahmins at the time Nannaya. Andhra bhasha is nothing but sanskrit written in telugu script. The question is why Andha Brahmins choose telugu script intead of Devanagari script to write sanskrit. Telugu people thoughout history worshiped Siva, and Kali(spirit of kali). Avatara Gods were introduced by Andhra Brahmins in Telugu country to promote Vedic/Sanskrit culture around 12th century. The fight for telangana state is not just for geography, but also for culture and language.
I agree with you people have migrated from place to place throughout history. The 'Lambadis' migrated to telangana region from Rajasthan in late 17th and early 18th Century. You will find their 'Thandas' at the outskirts of every village. For 200 years they have maintained their own language, culture and never integrated with the local telugu community. They borrowed few telugu words to communicate with local people. I never say Coastal Andhras and rayalaseema people are not telugu. But Andhra Brahmins are different. They exhibit similar charactrestis like Lambadis. They never mixed with local people, never inter-dined, and borrowed few telugu words, and maintained and promoted sanskrit. Hundred years ago some progressive Brahmins like Gidugu Ramamoorhty fought against sanskrit, and demanded to use theta or accha(pure) telugu which was spoken at home by common telugu man including Brahmins.
Mr. S. Ramesh wrote in tp.com that there are 10 Crore telugu speaking people, and we are the 10th largest spoken language of the world. Why do we need to use excessive sanskrit words when we have our own telugu words. Why do we have to pray our Gods in sanskrit? Through out history, who is behind pushing sanskrit and rubbing everybody nose. The battle is between Telugu and Sanskrit, not among telugu people of Coastal Andhra, rayalaseema or telangana. There is nothing wrong of having two telugu speaking states in Indian Union. Hindi have 9 states and they are not complaining.
