Dear Mrs. Madhavi , I guess its really different expirence in ur life. We should use science and technology when manual is not available but we totally 100% dependants on them. eg : Even my friends use ATM and credit cards and will not carry single dollors in their vallet. but u know when there is light you have keep everything safe. Imagine if there is no power for 100 days.. Becoz I always think negative angles in order to be positive always. I guess you will keep money in ur purse now .. Cheers Mahen

Great one.... I was one of the victims too...We were facing similar problems that you described and India was the buzz word...all the way. Anyway...please check this link for the lighter side of the story.. http://www.telugupeople.com/members/index.asp?userid=boochodu

It's a sort of emergency similar to war but no air ridings be happy for that. Now USA to build a grid to encounter this. VOA on radio had a similar discussion with a conclusionthat " we americans don't know about the grid how about others?" One power failure (BLACKOUT)repents you back to India then imagine the villages with powercut for 8 hours.

Dear Mrs.Madhavi, That was really a very nice and practical conclusion u made at the end of ur article. But i must tell u one thing. Everywhere the situation is the same only there is a degree of difference in the experience. All that we can do at this juncture is to develop adoptability and relaxation to meet every eventuality since we can not afford to leave the comforts we get due to the technology development. with best wishes jogaraopilla
