Dear Mr. Lavanam,
Thank you for educating the younger generation about Gandhi and his principles. Awareness of self respect came to Gandhi becuase of his mistreatment due to his skin color by the South African white aparthied society. Today there is so much racism in India especially in the movie industry. I wonder what Gandhi would have done now? Probably he would have been more ashamed of Indians than White South Africans. The racism crosses all segements of Indian society - caste, religin and class. 90% of Indian population are brown people yet the society shamelessly glorify the light-skinned Indians. Hope you will write to educate the younger generation about racism with in India. In Gods eyes we are all his beautiful children irrespective of our skin color. Our young brown children should not go through what Gandhi did in South Africa.
