Democracy can't function without Checks and Balances. Unfortunately India adopted a parlimientary system where MLAs elect the Cheif Minster and we have witnessed during the TDP rule and now in Congress rule they are looting the State exchecquer and no one there to stop them. We have to switch to Federal(Republic) system like in USA where Chief Minister must be elected by the entire State and he should be given full powers to select his own cabinet. Legislative branch(MLAs) should wirte the Bills and pass the bills and fight for their constituents needs and they will have no role in the exectuion of laws. In India we have pseudo democracy, where political Bosses loot and rule!

Well said Uppala garu about the human nature. I hope you translate this article into English and send it to CPM and CPI leaders - Karath and Bardhan, also to Narayana and Raghavulu. Our universities filled with left leaning professors and they are brain-washing our young minds. Many of these professors send their children to US,UK for employment, yet they claim Marxism is great. Communists never wanted people's lives get better becuase they are afraid they will loose thier vote bank. Hope left leaning professors read this article and reflect what you said.
