| In Europe and USA people work for 5 days a week and the number of working days is around 240-230 days in a year. In india the number of working days is atleast 222. Which means we are working for 6 days a week to compensate for the holidays for the festivals. So one just cant say that Indians are Lazy becos we have so many fesivels.

Yes, this is a good story. Insted of calling it as a story we should call it as our life style.In INDIA we have many religions, casts,etc...we should respect every body.But what making rong is we are taking leaves on the name of festival,etc...for which we won't celabrate and even we don't know them.
Really how many people are celabrating the festivals, even those people who don't beleve in god,religions, casts, are also taking the leaves. There is no such a rule to take leave compalsary on festival day, you can work even in holidays, but no one prefer to do so, because of our selfishness.
And even governament should ban all the leaves on the name of festivals.
They should give leaves only in week ends.
And they shouldn't entertain any other.
Then only may India can become good.
Apart from this people should change themselves, other wise no body can do anything.

Nice short story. Yet every one like to enjoy at the cost of national expenditure. It is culture. We can afford the loss due to Strike/ Bundh/ Rastha Rokho etc. etc. with out bothering others sufferings. If Court gives verdict the Bundh as Illegal, we cry. We see the verdict of the Court always to our favour then we praise the verdit is acceptable.
Even if some one tries to do justice the others consider him/her as useless and cannot work merrily. Our Traditions will only to exhibit to earn the foreign exchange and tell many achievements in a single or couple of great men. Still we try to create partitions in the nemae of caste/religion/language etc. etc. and start a party for reforms and will soon become multiple units if one do not get his shar in the power forget the achievement to the nation/state city or to his own area. We try to encash the sufferengings with out doing any thing to the real suffers and put them in the forefront till they get some undue advantage exposure of their figure. Till now who are associated in the progress of the country, they will suddenly raise their voice that unjustice done to the region who is eually responsible till now. The reason being there is light seen at a far distance in which he can see his own path for his benefit.
This is only our achievement. We talk we will ban foreign materials and we seek their investment in our country. Quite contrast.
We blame other countries if they stamp the pictures of our dieties on shoes etc, as if they are disrespecting our Dieties. How about values of pictures printed on different products covers advts. and thrown on streets. dust bins and at other undesirable places. Why we are not blaming for this kind of act if really give values to our Gods and Godess. Why can we ban printing such photos of God/Godess on the marketed products / Covers/ phamplets to maintain the respect and faith in the religion if we really talking about.
Hope commented much. It is my personal opinion. We are dragging and making innocent students to spoil their future for the selfish reasons of some people.Yet noone talks about.
Only God can help no one else.
