Telugu language was not destroyed but telugu literature was. Yes, it is possible when literacy was limited to few people. Raja Reddy research is showing Telugu language was in use before Christ, and our Tamil neighbors have their literature going back to 2nd or 3rd century BC. What is your reason for not having any written Telugu literature prior to Nannaya's time? There is a Telugu saying: Gummadi.kayala donga evaru.ante Buja.legu.recu.kunna.rata. Your behavior looks like that!

Is it possible to Destroy literature and Culture as a whole? Are there any examples from the Histroy where in a specific literature or culture was totally destroyed without a trace? Or is it yet another lie by the racist bigots to whirl up caste-based hatred?

Many people knew Dr.Raja Reddy as a renowned Neuro Surgeon (of NIMS).I came to know about his interest in Numesmatics (article in 'Ee Bhumi' weekly). The present article is very informative and more such research/expositions will help get Telugu language its reightful place.

Thank you Dr. Dame Raja Reddy garu for your dedication to study the history of Telugu language. If Telugu language was in use 2 or 3 centuries before Christ, why we have no Telugu literature until Nannaya's Mahabhratha translation? Was there no literature or the literature was destroyed? Telugu country embraced Buddism from 2nd century thru 7th century AD and the developed Telugu literature was about Buddhism. Is it possible all that Buddhist literature was destroyed during the Hindu rivialism? It is sad we lost 1000 years of literature. Thanks to your reaseach and hope the Coins will reveal some of the history. I also thank Udayavarlu T for writing this article.

Hi Mr Udayavarlu I greatly appreciate your article on a great personality like prof. Raja reddy. I Am proud to be his student in neurosurgery i have never seen any person with such a composure, regard to others, soft spoken well educated in all aspects and always with beautiful smile on his face. great to read about his works. we do not have much literature particularly with regards telugu language before christ. what ever dravidian history available is mostly associated with tamils. i think we should project these facts to the world as well as much more work needs to be done in this field. dr s reddy
