A good insight into evolution of Dalit literature. The question of need for dalit literature is notable. Need for alternate literature is required to be debated when we have revolutionary literature in place. Interesting point here is that the noted dalit wirter/poets have their routes in revolutionary movements and noone including their theses have stood to time till date. Subsiding trends reveal, perhaps, monotony of dalit literature which is backed mostly by inaction. Not to forget, the movement of caste annihilation has taken a shape of caste assertion. The same is getting reflected in literature also. Dalits, women and minorities require literature not for the want of literature but for a specific political purpose and social purpose. This literature does not primarily delve into the aesthetics of lietrature, however, definitely is an exotic one in its own 'raw' shape and in its own style and as it does not target fictitious omnibus reader base. A good work by the author. Need appreciation ! aandhrudu
