Celebrating V'day is not a problem - But using that as an excuse to get into unwarrented physical relationship is funny!
As you correctly mentioned, St. Valentine had actually meant 'Universal Love', which had been interpreted as lust by the current generation ..
And you are spot on about the Merchants - The V'day sales usually hit 10 folds on Feb 14.
I am nevertheless amused by Bajrangdal's reaction - Running after the Lovebirds with Garlands and Mangalasootram -- asking the lovers to get married :)) I keep laughing every year when I hear about a group of volunteers chasing the love birds with mangalasootram :))
