I agree with your opinion that loving ones birth place is not wrong. But birth country? How is a country defined?
I remember this dialogue from movie 'BORDER' all the time. A soldier receives letter from his young son going to school. He writes 'across the border, there live people just like us. They eat, sleep just like us. Their emotions are same. Why do we fight?'
'BORDER DISPUTE?' How are the borders defined?. Who is defining them?
can people just not think world as 'Vasudhaika Kutumbam'. Should we ignore suffering of human being in another country just because he deos not belong to our 'COUNTRY'

For that matter, isn't patriatism a selfish idea. Why should we think that our nation should be superior to others. why can't we just wish that every person on earth be happy and prosperous. Why, being indians, should we think that India be ahead of other nations
I am sure my opinion is not going to be liked by many of you. But can any one answer my question. Just sharing my thoughts please.

I am not saying we shouldn't remember great people, but you start with your own first.
Like what they say about change... change within first then ask for others to change..rite?
everyone fights for their own reasons.. respect them for what they are... dont grade them...
