Hi Sreeinivasu garu and other thoughtful, educated, cultured members of Telugupeople.com I am thrilled for having come to know all your thought process and the discussions are really superb. Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you all for your achievemnets and thank you for the direction you are giving to the youth. I am sure of the change if we all stand united , discuss any issue in an unbiased way as Adwait and few others are doing. Adwait, I will write to you peresonally.Your analyses of the isssues are superb at the current problems at hand. Yes as You said we need some sort of action to be atken apart from talks. Believe me, when I read all those of " thoughts shared by u all" and the comments on them - the way people are responding- I had a feeling that was never experienced before..... Hi folks think of all those freedom fighters and the sacrifices they made just to get the freedom to us , which eventually is loosing its meaning and very purpose in the hands of few impotent leaders. These leaders are not eligible to rule , not qualified as they don't even know waht is meant by a leadership. They do not know that they are spoiling the future of country by their narrow thinking and selfishness. If they can introspect their deeds, their worth to be in those places where they are ( I don't include all of them) they won't dare to continue any more. Unfortuanetly our educated mass is ready to be ruled by any junk leadres and happily living by giving the country to those ....(I don't have words to describe ...). The root cause of all these problems "lack of education" to the huge population and they elect any one (coz, they are the one normally vote as many of us even dose not evn cast our vote and devote time to do something to chhose a proper leader. The pathetic situation is that the voter dose not know the his value). I just do not want to dwell in to all those issues which already have been dealt in detail by some of you in authentic way, but I am here to remind you all that we are in much better position to do some thing than those days (before freedom) where there was no technology, no common language, no facilities and if they could brought us freedom by vacating the mighty British govt off from the motherland , we can defenetly do something to change the present state of the country and do way with the current social evils. Let us do the action plan and find a meaning to be in this very place rather than disputing on things. As I am new to this site I do not know what is going on as of now. I just got moved by Adwait's call.....let us do something which can help the country to become a better place. We do need some leader ship here too as any other organisation to go in proper direction. So its my sincere request to all of you who are spending your valuble time here to have an action plan. I am there with you all. Let me know waht can I do and where can we start from and if there is any 'thoughts' which should be gone through before I talk to you all further. It is wondeful, rewarding experience to be amongst you! Punyabhoomi Na desam! Namo Namami! Reagrds, Siva

Hi All, Why is this lull in our minds. What happened to the action items we were to draft ?? I am disappointed that only 4-5 of us have contributed to this topic. What happened to the other "thinking" minds of this forum ? Let's define new commandments for us and next generations to follow and uplift the country from the morass of corruption and other social evils and restore the pride and glory of our motherland. Vande Mataram, Adwait

Hi Srinivas, Good article. It's time we youth start doing something positive and constructive for our nation. We have abandoned the path of sacrifice and reform after independence and we youth need to rethink the process all over again.Over population annihilates any amount of progress we achieve in any sector (Industry, Agri, Science and Tech). It is complete failure and connivance of the politicians to let the population control programs slip by. What happened to "Hum Do, Humara Do". As I grew up, I don't see them anywhere. After Mrs. Gandhi, we lacked a strong leader with a firm vision to lead our nation. We were left with imbeciles, avarice, impotent and week hearted PMs. I am for one terribly disappointed with Mr. Vajpayee in this regard. He has touted population control as his top priority and allocated substantial funds for the same, soon after he came to power 4 yrs back. Population exlposion is mostly poverty related as for these poor people due to lack of info on birth control and also due to the fact that, extra child in the house is an extra income. This also robs childhood from many children, as they have to earn their food from the age of 2 or 3. Dowry system too compells people to try for a male child as that is stamped as a decent way to grab someone's hard earned lifesavings. All this is a vicios circle. One thing Indian society lacks big time is charity. We are ready to pour thousands in Hundis for salvation and spiritual peace, ignoring the disabled at the temple doors to dooming them to hunger and diseases. In Islam & Christianity a percentage of yearly income is to be donated to the society for any charity purpose. My suggestions are: 1. Let's have only one child. If desired let's adopt the second one (opposite sex to the first one, to get a balance). 2. Let's not encourage bribery. 3. Let us not litter. 4. Let's not use our family connections to get things done. Let's follow the regular channel and demand good and just service. Once we start doing this, more people will join and this deterrs the official in charge. 5. We can run a website to post the names of corrupt officers as we encounter. If a certain name appears more frequently, we can petition to Govt. or Court to initiate some legal and/or disciplinary action(s) aginst such individuals. 6. Let's refuse to give/take dowry and desist the same within our circle of family and friends. 7. Lets giveback more to society. Lets encourage and assist some charities. 8. Let's simplyfy our marriage process. We all can cut the pomp in the marriage ? I prefer Arya Samaj's marriage process, is ritual but very simple. 9. If a rowdy sheeter or a criminal is nominated by any party, let's just plain boycott the election if the opponent is equally worthless. 10. All hartals, bandhs and other violent disobediences should be abandoned rightforth. By torching and destroying public property, we tend to levy more taxes on ourselves. We should evolve a better way of registering our protests, like wearing badges, black shirts or boycotting certain goods or services. I heard once in japan, in order to protest for salary raise, employees of a shoe company worked overtime and silently overproduced shoes of left leg and then stopped coming to work. This forced the management team to comply with their requests. Once they cameback to work, they did the same for right leg and lo....they had soaring profits. Let's think in such innovative ways to register our protests.

srinivas garu, Your question is that why our motherland is lacking behind in many aspects compared to other countries. I have one answer for that. i.e its just due to its own citizens. Every indian is responsible for that. Every field in India is corrupted upto its roots. so it is not an easy thing to clean off that corruption. This is on one hand. On the other hand the people are not ready to do that. so how can india be a developed country. And the very bad thing is that even some people try to bring changes in the society, always there is a big crowd to supress them. In so many occasions i heard that the present children are the builders of tomorrows nation. But see the way how the children are judged? They are depressed in so many situations. They are just made to byheart all the lessons underpressure. They don't know what they are learning and why they are learning. Every body is having maximum touch with teachers after parents.Actually the teachers are there to keep the students in a good track. But this is not happening in india. so many teachers are just working for their earnings and are not guiding the students properly (not all). And coming to the present youth (not all but more than 70-75%).how they spending their time? no aim nothing. just enjoy the life to its fullest. Parents are earning just for us. so let us spend as much as possible in less time roaming with friends. And the parents are not less than any others. Because they will work very hard for earning to make their children happy. They will work for hours even some times they won't look over their own health problems. But finally they are unable to control and guide their own children in a proper way. I have discussed only three catageries of people i.e children, parents and teachers as i think they are the budding causes for all the problems. so in particular if we want to discuss, we have to talk about each and every department like police, doctor, lawyer, engineer...........and the list is a never ending. And about the general psycology of indians i can give a best example here. I asked NRIs to give their help to make india a devoloped one. some of them asked me that " what the indians are doing in india" i am not critising them, its the general psycology of an average indian. If we ask indians the same thing, then why can't they poing that " what NRIs are doing there? atleast i am better i am staying india".so like this our indians are ready to escape to help at all times where ever they live. So what we have to do to over come all the problems? Ever body is saying that EVERY INDIAN SHOULD THINK THAT "I HAVE TO SERVE MY MOTHER LAND", which is an impossible thing. Till now nobody has stated that ATLEAST SHALL WE INSPIRE OUR FELLOW CITIZENS AND TRY TO MAKE OUR COUNTRY A BEST PLACE TO LIVE. so think well and do some thing to our mother india. Balaji.

Sreenivas gaaru, mee aavedana artham chesukodaginade. In fact, everyone of us can empathize with your emotions because all of us feel the same way. Many Politicians. This is the main problem. Poor people and poverty. Yes, Population Explosion, Poverty and Unemployment are closely related ones. People need more education. In fact, the educated elite too. Corruption. No way out of it. I don't think so. Any solution even if we can say for happiness, is just mere words, that's all. Law , Rules and Regularities. Constitution ni enforce chesetappudu, Ambedkar cheppaarata. An average one, also can be good in maintaining law and order provided the people who enforce it are honest and devoted and duty minded persons and who must also have belief in the law. And a Very good one also may fail and work poorly if the enforcers are not determined and they themselves are the guilty. What we need is Introspection. Yes. I think the best service we can do to the Nation is being Self-Sustained, be honest, try as far as we can not to give bribes etc., and also try as much as we can to do our level best in opposing the social disparities and ill-practises etc., We have a long way to go, but we can tread it quickly, if we can motivate the younger generation to move with great ideals in the good direction and in proper path too.
