| its very paradoxical thing.. u r thinking about.
once i wanted to go in to gentics, not to have interaction with ppl but iam in medicine. But my viewschanged a lot aftre entering in this.
Foloowing ur dream means u shud leave ur present feild, which is risky.
i suggest u to go in ur feild. Just like how u read stories and novels, get psycology books and start reading them i nfree time. U can get books by, 'SIGMOND FREUD' anywhere.
After soemtime, u may not find psycology that much interesting.
If u stillsee it interesting , carry on reading. Knowledge is power. U need a degree in psycoilogy to practise as a psycologist. but u dont need it to develop talking skills and analyse ppl's mentality.
If u can develop habit of writng, u can be renowned as a conselling person though u r not a degree holder in psycology.
for example, see many authors write ' how to get success' 'how to solve problems ' etc topics though they were not psycologists. U need a mind not a degree.
If u really want to make ur dream true, do it without spoling dreams of ur parents and friends. Life doesnt end with MS.

u should be fortunate that u have this dream to accompish something great.The push that comes out of u to make ur dream true will make everything happen for u and will always be showing the right path.
I can only say u can't sacrifice a good career awaiting u and u can't stop thinking of ur great dream.
work hard and try to balance both of them, sure u can do both of them, a job should not stop u from acheiving what u want.

If i were to be you, i would have ventured my dream and become a master in what interests me.
And believe that.. do your best in things you love and the best will follow you. We can't see the other side of the wall.. like there might be a big name and money in the profession which naturally comes to us..
Think you have written your GRE / TOEFL if you get to study here in north america.. you will have a better scope to make your dreams come true.
