| Harirama Jogayya Garu: I always liked your articles published here. There are three options here. I am proposing the third one.
One is making Hyderabad a separate state or union territory. This one I strongly object because the remaining part of the state will be at a greater disadvantage and is unfair limiting its wealth to Hyderabadee's alone. The reason for its international presence is becuase of Telugus from all over Andhrapradesh.
Second is making Hyderbad part of Telangana and compensate to other three regions. This I object because it creates a level of animosity between the states and is not the right formulaw for brotherly separation.
Third I like the most. Thinking it like Washington DC metro area. The DC metro is surrounded by three states and all of them share its development and wealth and at the same time maintain their state identities and their own capitals. The DC metro is spread across VA, MD and DC states. Washington itself is a mega city and capital of the country. We can do the same with Hyderabad. All three of them have their own capitals and big cities. We can do the same for our state. Make Hyderbad no ones capital and provide access to all three regions.
Divide the state into Andhra, Rayalaseema and Telangana. There were never hardlines for any of the regions. Infact Nizam ruled upto Vizag. There are no hard lines for Telangana. Khammam and Nalgonda share more Andhra culture than Telangana. So is Mehboob Nagar with Kurnool. Some of the districts under Nizam rule now under Maharashtra and Karnataka. So we can always redefine our borders. A minor cut into Nalgonda and Mahaboob Nagar will make way for all three regions into Hyderabad. Hyderabad will be maintained as a city by itself while it can become part of three states. The three states cover their state tax in their jurisdiction. Washington DC and Hyderabad has lot of simillarities and we should draw parallels. This formulaw will keep our brotherhood as it is and we can split the states fairly. Hyderabad can not be the capital of any state. Besides leaving Hyderabad intact we have opportunity to create three new capitals in our state.
Imaginge Warangal, Vijayawada, and Kurnool as capitals and at the same time having access to Hyderabad to all three regions. To me this is the only acceptable and amicable formulaw.
