1 cup Chenna(soaked & boiled)
2 Onions minced
2 Big Tomatoes (Chopped
Ginger (grated);
½ tspn Jeera seeds
½ tspn Garam Masala 1 tsp red Chillie Powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric
Salt to taste
Oil for Frying
1 Tbsp Jaggery;
Tamarind pulp walnut size
Garnishing:-
Onion
Green Chillies slit in the middle
Lime bits
Tomatoe Round Slices
Garam Masala
Corriander leaves Chopped
Method:
Wash & soak the Chenna overnight.
Boil chenna to tender.(or pressure cook them)
Grind 1tbsp boiled Channa with the Ginger, Turmeric Pwd, Jeera
Seeds, Chillie Powder, Garam Masalato smooth puree` .
Heat oil & fry the Onion bits till golden.
Save 1cup onions & keep aside, add the ground masala &
the tomatoes,fry further 1-2 more minutes.
Add the Tamarind pulp and the remaining Chenna thoroughly.
Add Salt.
Grind the fried(saved) onion bits to a fine paste & add to the Channa Masala,½ cup water.
mix well & cook till semi solid.
Now takeoff the heat & garnish with above ingredients.
Serve hot with Batura.
