I was in the 4th class one of my teacher was saying all of you will go abroad so you need to know capitals of all countries. How much ever I tried I was bad at G.K. only that I used to win quizzes due to the group and get 100 marks in G.K. in tenth as all the questions came from competition success review. Emphasis to spoken english inceased as and when I was going to higher classes. Finally by the time I went out of high school I cameout with flying colours.
After having an enjoyable first year in B.E. I was glad I got a good percentage even after bunking classes and playing TT and skipping off to my friend’s houses to watch Videos. We were bunch of girls in civil engg. As our apartment which was newly constructed was just 2 km from the college, always it was that my friends used to come and go. Always there were visitors for me. I used to invite all the girls for lunch and we had very good moments.
As all their houses were far away from my house and college they were never seen in the holidays. There was another group who were inviting our duo ”a best friend of mine” to parties and movies. We went to couple of birthday parties and movies in the holidays. This freeking out got extended into second year. The plans went to going to discos which I objected saying that is not our culture.
This is when I made friends with lizzy(name changed) who was in electrical branch. I got branch transfer into Instrumentation later. We already had some intro sessions where we came to know each other interests. She too like me is a singer but not as professional one as I was. I saw her going to music classes in the holidays. I was still attending music classes even after giving so many concerts. One of the civil professor was asking for someone to come and sing in the libray inaugural function. I composed and taught her. We went together and sung a sanrkrit song. I could see some gealousy faces in her bunch of friends who are singers as well.
At that time the friend circle increased. One girls group, one civil group, electrical group, junior friends and finally instrumentation group. I always had visitors as my house was near to college. This is not a thing as since childhood I had friends visiting my house. I was actve in school, music and plays. And had bunch of friends always. Birthday parties and fun was not new.
