To understand people and the world and to be understood, effective communication is essential. Top executives of the Fortune 500 companies rate communication skills as the most important quality for business leaders. Not only in business, in life situations also communication skills play vital role in achieving success. It is the hallmark of life management. If our communication has to be effective, we need to maintain a balance between its quantitative and qualitative aspects.
Communication ability had a pride of place during the Ramayana days also. Lord Rama, seeing Hanuman for the first time, referred to Hanuman's communication skills and said
'samskarakrama samapannam adrutaam ----
Hanuman has orderly refinement in speech that is remarkable and undelaying and he speaks propitious words that are heart pleasing. He has the six qualities of best reciters - Sweet voice, Enunciated syllables, Parting of words properly, Quick, and Confident delivery and Rhyme.
On several other occasions also, Hanuman was referred for his excellent communication skills. Sage Valmiki mentioned Hanuman -Vakyavisharadah.
We are going to celebrate Hanumat Jayanti on 30th May. Let us try to emulate the communications skills of Hanuman for a happy and peaceful life and for maintaining good human relations.
