Prathistanapuram, the ancient name of Aurangabad is a historical place which is famous for the Ajantha and Ellora caves. Most famous saints like Sant Gyaneswar, Eknath, Samardha Ramdas (the Guru of Chatrapathi Sivaji) were born there and added feathers to its glory. One of the 12th Jyothirlingas is also situated here. Vedas say that wherever God’s name is enchanted regularly, that place is called paavithra bhumi (sacred place) and is showered with the blessings of God. Sadguru Sri Sainath Maharaj has selected this place Sainath Tekdi because of its purity which is situated towards East of Auraanagabad city, a hill terrain. Sainath Tekdi is in Goddiya village located before the twin villages of Sindhon and Bindhon on Devaliya road and about 20 Kilometres from Aurangabad Railway Station. Chand Patil a Munsif of Dhupkhed village saw Sadguru Sainath as a 16years old boy in Sainath Tekdi. He has lost his mare on that hilly terrain and was in search for it for a month but in vain. Sadguru Sainath helped Chand Patil to trace his mare. Chand Patil came along with the mare and thanked Baba for his help. Baba produced fire, water by touching his Satka on the land. He made Hukka and offered to Chand Patil. Chand Patil was astonished to see this act and has foreseen Baba as Mahatma. He invited Baba to his house. Baba went with him and stayed in that village for a month and moved to Shiridi which is a punyadham. Shri Konduri Kameswara Rao a resident of Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, is a devotee of Sri Shiridi Saibaba. One day Baba came in his dream and told “Go, you go to the place where I met Chand Patil. That place is still unattended. Build a Mandir there. My blessings will always be with you. “ The same dream with same words repeated for more than three months. Then Sri Kameswara Rao alongwith his friend Sri G. Venkat Rao went to Aurangabad to search that place. That place is a hill of Emerald, like tortoise (Kurmavatharam) in between two hills, one like Kailasa Shikharam and other like Nandi. Baba blessed Chand Patil here. This secret was revealed by Baba. After confirming the place to be correct with various enquiries, they both did Dathayagam. After that they left the place thinking to construct a temple. With the blessings of Sri Sadguru Sainath Vigraha Prathistapana has been done on the auspicious day of ‘GURU PURNIMA’ in 2007. Local devotees have taken up the construction work of the temple. Later again on ‘GURU PURNIMA’ in 2008 a Dhyana Mandiram has been constructed with the idols of Lord Dathrathreya , Sri Sripada Vallabha, Sri Narasimha Saraswathi, Swami Sant Samardh and Sri Gajanan Maharaj. Yagna sthali and nitya Annadana Sibiram are yet to be constructed. We request everyone to visit this sacred place and extend your views and offerings and receive the blessings Sri Sadguru Saibaba. ROUTE TO REACH SAINATH TEKDI: All devotees should reach Devalaye Chourastha which on beed highway from Aurangabad Railway Station or Bus stand. From there you can reach Sainath Tekdi by an Auto or any private vehicle. The distance would be only 4 kilometers. BOLO SADGURU SHRI SAINATH MAHARAJ KI JAI
