We were newly wedded and had to go to nellore... ( for the second time in the first month of our marriage). As we had a car it was not a problem to start to Nellore, also we never guessed that car might give any problem to us. So happily after saying bye to all our dear once in Bangalore at 2pm we moved from there.
It was really a great time having watching to the curbs and listening to mild songs with cool a/c in, the way my hubby was driving the car, we thought we will be reaching by 8.30 to our hometown, as special dishes were prepared for us by our family members and also waiting to warmly invite us. We reached Tirupati safely and looked into the watch and knowing as it was only 7.30pm we thought to give a surprise visit to our Tirupati aunty and so we went there. After one hour, again we started our journey from Tirupati. It was not too far to reach Nellore from Tirupati. Thinking this we started, and while on the way suddenly the railway gate was closed and we had to wait for some time.... but it did not take few seconds but we had to wait for half-an-hour. It was already 9pm but we had to reach home atleast by 10pm. So once again started to move, this was the time were we got to struck to our bad luck. Some nail on the road went into the wheel and wheel got punchured. As it was a highway and nothing struck our mind what to do. Suddenly my eyes went on petrol bunk which was there by our luck. So we went there and parked our car.
One person in petrol bunck called two guys who were just 11 or 13 years old and told them to do some favour for us but they said 'Sir it is already late and we got to go home as our parents will be waiting for us' but after looking at us they said 'Okay sir fine, we will carry your wheel to the checkpost and get it repaired, but we want at least Rs.100/- for that to get repaired'. We sighed and my hubby looked into the purse and found only Rs.20 in there.....'Oh God! now what shall we do?' telling this I went and sat into the car and then remmbered an old purse in the suitcase and removed it and luckly there was another Rs.50, and gave this to those boys, and we had to wati there for another 1 hour, but the work was not success.... then at last we removed the jack and the extra wheel in there, which we remmbered after one hour but what happenend was .... that wheel did not match ours. Atlast somehow we pleaded those little boys to help us, then once again they got to go back to the check post and this time the wheel was repaired, for this we thanked God gave all the eatables whatever we had, to the boys and also said them that we will pay them when we come back again on the same way.
Now it was already 11.30pm and by the time we reached home it was 2am. Unfourtunatly having waiting for us all the kids and rest of the family members had finished their dinner and were in deep sleep and no one was there to invite us exept my mother-in-law who was half awake. Now we relaise that we should never travel in car and even if we take a car we should look into all essential equipments that we need and also should have minimum of Rs. 1000/- in purse.
Still I have not forgot to give the money to those small boys who helped us.
