Articles: My Thoughts | Present Day Movies - Ms. Raji Kambhampati
| |
It is my experience now. When I was child/student, I used to watch good movies which gave some morale. We rarely had movies equipped with violence and vulgarity.
Now I have 2 children. After hectic office work, we both, me and my husband want to watch some good movies for relaxation.
Alas when we go in search of movies we rarely get old (gold)movies. When we get new movies, we don't know where the present day youth going, mostly teen age /precollege/college students are the heros and heroins. They fell in love and disrespect the parents indulge in drinking and smoking. At last parents agree to their marriage. In some movies parents only support them. One thing I don't understand is how the students get married when they are hardly a degree holders without job and capacity to support themselves.
I see so many new movies having dirty dialogues. When my children ask what that means we feel so sorry. We cannot enjoy a single movie with family. It is so embarassing to see the movies alone.
In USA there is restriction of age to smoke and drink. I wish the same rule should be enforced in India too.
I fear that all the telugu children who are in abroad feel what they see in telugu movies is their culture...like drinking, disprespecting parents, not knowing the responsibilities.
It is a shame to our telugu movies to have such dirty themes. I wish all the telugu producers realize and produce good movies and respect the telugu culture.
