Articles: Politics | Shame Shame Indian Politicians! - Ms. Prasanthi Uppalapati
| |
What a pity! The Indian nation has to witness high political drama even been enacted in Indian history. Politicians of all parties literally degraded themselves and disgraced our politics before the other nations in this world. Shame on them to create such an impression for being the leaders of a great nation which has the potential to play a major role in depicting or deciding the political arena of the world. Instead of rising above the situation and upholding the dignity, day after day, time and again, they compete in stooping to low levels.
18th May, 2004. It was really a black day indeed to India. It was a shameful experience to watch each and every MP of congress party pleading Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to be the PM and guide the nation. Everytime they say congress is in no dearth of leaders and inspite of that, request a foreign born candidate as PM, who is inexperienced and ignorant with respect to India, its culture and the diversity of it.
It is clearly known and an open truth that Congress MPs support Sonia because of their jealousy and inefficiency. Congress culture is itself of a crab mentality. They can't see their colleagues shine in prestigious positions. If it is Sonia, they are not jealous for she has the 'Gandhi' tag which pulls the crowd and fetch them votes. It is not her personal talent that she could win seats for Congress but the opinion of common man that Congress be united only under a person who belongs to 'Gandhi' clan.
Coming to Congress allies, these are the people who vehemently expressed their opposition and objection to accept Sonia as PM. Now they welcome her candidature only to gain power and position in the 15th Loksabha.
Let us discuss about NDA and its allies. These people's comments are also very shocking. With their personal remarks on Mrs. Gandhi, they not only degrade themselves but on the other hand drives the sympathy of voter towards her. Sushma Swaraj's statements are too barbaric to even quote. Those are not the kind of statements one expects from an effecient leader and a learned individual like her. While George Fernandez's remark that Sonia is a fickleminded lady is also ridiculous. On one hand, they hound her for aspiring the post of PM of India, and on the other they describe her as indecisive and impulsive when she opted out of the race. This clearly indicates a venemous nature. They criticize her for any of her moves and attribute ulterior motives.
Shame shame Indian Politicians.... shame on your part. Learn to uphold the dignity of Parliament. No problem if you do not raise the country to the heights of the glory. But for people's sake, never drive, drain the nation to the depths of degradation.
Try to respect the faith of common man who has given you the mandate and work for all round development. It is a time when the whole world is staring at us. Carefully watching us. Honour the age old values and work according to principles.
