Art and Science of Government is Politics. It means it involves both theoritical knowledge and practical demonstration to work towards the uplift of the people. It is a term which bridges the gap between the rulers and the ruled. It doesn’t mean the people involved in politics are higher than those who are ruled. Infact this concept is born for the people.
We live in a democratic country and we are privileged with more rights, the ultimate goal of which is to provide more freedom to the citizens of the country. This is the reason why we elect our rulers and do not select. People elect the ones whom they feel comfortable to share and resolve their problems and whom they feel eligible to occupy those great positions.
In the past decades, the educated people were not too many and so the importance of ‘Education in politics’ was not felt. Though they were not educated they had the hearts to work for the growth of the ruled. They worked and struggled a lot to fulfil the good and worthy wishes of the people. But as the years passed, the main goal has been diverted from ‘Welfare of the people to Welfare of one’s own self’, the motive has been degraded to ‘Easy earning while in Politics.’ This is the only reason why politics has been prioritised by selfish people.
Politicians struggle a lot for the permission of grants to the people. Till they are decided, they say it is for the people. But once the grants are in hand, people are nowhere involved. The grants get distributed to the so called leaders. Very minute amount reaches the people. People also got used to this and they stopped expecting any return from the politicians.
They have lots of time for the people before the elections and they themselves without being asked wander around people with smile and love but once they are elected, let alone they approaching people, they don’t even have time to listen to their sorrows even. When they do not spare time ofr them, how can they resolve their issues? They ought to be available at all times to the public . This is the greatness of being politicians. Why do they enter politics if they do not have time for the people, if they cannot spend people’s money for people?
Politicians are changing from eras but the people are still remaining in the same stagnant conditions. All these owe to lack of awareness due to lack of education. All we need from a good and perfect Politician are a Heart to help liberate people from their present situations full of sorrows, Will to work for the welfare of the people, a Mind not to create any religious or economic differences among the people. One with above qualities will remain in the hearts of the ruled.
We say with pride, democracy is for the people, by the people, of the people. But our country is in dire need of such people who can live FOR the people. They need not die for them, they can alteast live for them or let them live their own lives.
This is an era of Education which promotes awareness both in the people and the rulers. Being citizens we know the value of a Vote. People have to think twice before electing our rulers. Do not go by the political party. Not all people of one group or political party are good or bad.
Choose the ones whom you think are capable and worthy of walking and working towards the welfare of the people. People have come to conclusion that no person or party is going to relieve them from their present state of distress. So they think voting for anyone doesn’t really make any difference. First if the voters make a difference in electing, the elected leaders will make difference.
Regarding making a Bill into Law, it takes months, years , yellings, religious and political differences. The opposition party always blindly tries to argue or stop anything the ruling party says. What is the objective of an ‘Opposition party?’ If the ruling party comes up with any proposal against the welfare of the people and when the situation is going to worsen due to this, there will be some who can raise their voice against the ruling party which is solely for the welfare of the ruled. But the concept has completely changed presently. Anything ruling party says, opposition party immediately obstructs their path. Opposition leader doesn’t mean he has to oppose the ruling party’s decisions. It means it ought to oppose the decisions which lead to the downfall of the people.
Now is the time for the Politicians to stop acting and start working for the people’s welfare. They need to spend the grants for people’s sake. The public money is the hard earned money of the people. No one has the right to spend their money without their approval. So much of injustice is going on around the country, civil servants are under the control of the politicians.
They work and shadow these politicians for their own job and life security. The Police do not do their jobs and they expect people to obey them regardless of any circumstances or situations. They should remember that the salaries they are being paid is out of people’s hard owned money. They ought to respect people and their necessities. Firstly when the Police are duty bounded, just and disciplined the bad people start to stop their evil tendency and curb their selfish motives. The people also change accordingly, they learn what is to be followed and what not to.
Hypocrisy has become the synonymn of ‘Politics.’ All the leaders boast of their work , praise people but they really do not work for them. They promise lots of things to be taken care of but in reality it is the opposite. They are working towards different projects and goals and all this is happening amongst themselves, amongst the rulers and different political parties. People are not aware of the decisions taken for them until they are announced or implemented.
People have the rights to know the plans, decisions and the consequences.Hypocrisy is rising to its peaks. There is only one solution to end this hypocrisy. Live cameras should be located everywhere including the Courts, Assembly, Municipal offices and other important government offices where people aproach frequently for help.
These should be telecasted in a television channel and they should be Live. Any person who approaches the officials for help will now be sure of their wishes being fulfilled without bribery. Every official craves for job security though they appear to be proud and courageous. This job security alone forces them to perform their jobs in a just manner as they are being telecasted live to the people.
Practically speaking, all the states cannot be covered for live telecast because it involves money and other important issues. Atleast this can be achieved statewise. Start with one state. Before that, start with one city or town where in there are cameras in all important government locations. The reaction will be very positive from the side of the people.
Though the bad will definitely oppose this because their illegal transactions and actions will be directly noticed by their authorities and the people. Then go on with other towns, cities and states. Let India be a perfect land. It might be tough but never impossible.
The old people have been ruling the land of India since decades. We saw them in our childhod and we are seeing the same old persons even in our youth. Are there no young leaders who are capable of leading the country? Politics is not grand father’s property to go on inheriting the position and the power of Leadership.
Let Politics become a high priority to the good and the selfless. Let them teach a lesson to the selfish people who think ‘Politics is an easy way of earning endless money.’ We need some high thinking, simple minded people to rule our land.
India ia a land of Spirituality where in, selfish politics is playing a vital role. India needs some citizens who can walk the people towards the growth of the entire country. In fact Politics is not a money-earner but should be an easy way to serve and aproach people to work for their welfare.
Let Politics be crowned with ‘Service’ for the end result to be ‘Welfare.’
Public money is not the ‘Will’ of Politicians wherein they can distribute it among themselves.
