Hi,
Before I start expressing myself, I confess that these are not my original thoughts. But whatever I am going to share with you, has been driven by something that I read recently. I still am partially cynical and doubtful about what I have got to say. And I would really be glad if people who visit this site can give me some honest opinions of theirs.
That said, I would come to the point. I recently read this book by James Red Field called the Celestine Prophecy. If you could get this book, I suggest that you read it up completely. It pertains to each of our lives and brings a very brilliant analysis of the human psyche. In this he speaks about a spiritual awareness that is creeping in to human society very slowly but surely.
The book is written with a great perspective…atleast that is what I felt. He speaks about coincidences that happen to us in our everyday life, which according to him are not coincidences but events that happen for a reason. These events, he says are driven by a guiding and intelligent force in the universe out there. But given our scientific temperament we don’t give much thought to these coincidences. But according to this author these coincidences have something to teach us. So we must be watchful of these coincidences.
What kind of coincidences you wonder? The coincidences might include meeting a friend whom you have just thought about, reading a book that seems to speak to you about ways of solving a problem, one of our friends or parents telling us something which is exactly what we need to cope up with a crisis etc, etc.
But I wonder whether this is true, because, if we are shown the moon and asked to see what there is on the moon, each of us would come up with our own pattern of imagination. So too it could be with coincidences. But then again, there are times in my own life when I felt truly guided, in the sense that some person or situation would give me an insight into a problem that I was trying to tackle at that moment. Did you have such coincidences? And if you did I would be very glad to listen to them.
I really did not understand the true logical basis of these coincidences, nor the author’s other proclamation that our thoughts and feelings have a much greater impact on other people, situations and the universe at large, till I read some very persuasive evidence from quantum physics. Since everything in this universe at the sub atomic level is just energy and nothing else, our thoughts too are a pattern of energy and they would have influences, which even surpass the boundaries of space and time.
There is something called the Bell’s theorem, which says that once two elementary particles are connected they would behave in identical ways and they are connected through their energy fields forever. So for instance, if we change the spin of one particle, the spin of the other particle also changes, inspite of the fact that they are far from each other in time and space. It is something like, minds with the same wavelength getting connected despite the temporal boundaries.
So in a way if you are hung up about some person in real life, you could practice being positive towards the other person. With time the person is soon going to be friends with you. I tried this with one of my friends out here and it worked. May be we could use this to create a better work environment around us and even in our families too.
After all, no one is going to live forever, and we should live the most when we are alive in harmony, peace and with an attitude of adventurousness in life…right! So too in one’s own life. This would bring an opportunity to bring out the hidden potential in us. But be that as may be, we should always remember that if we believe in the universal guiding force, we should stop depending on others to fulfill our inadequacies, but must depend on the strength and goodness of oneself and also in our fellow human beings and ultimately in that all encompassing intelligence.
