Deepika! I cherish you quite deep in my heart
But to ventilate it, which is the method best
Whether by offering a bunch of braided flowers
Or by presenting you a ring set with diamonds
I can do anything, to fulfill my cherished wish
Either by showing you the rising sun in the East
Or the Phoebus setting on the horizon in the West
I can solicit your warm companionship flourish
At the riverside, appreciating the beauteous
Nature endowed with downy green landscape.
But this task can by anybody be performed,
While my attitude is only toward your beatitude
How can I express my feelings in simple manner
Or in tacit terms for you to realise crystal clear,
That I am anxious in my mind as to how
Only your smiles can glitter my life with glow?
If our love is true, surely it will unite us, wow!
But I asked some persons unfamiliar to us two
To give me in writing in the language known to you
Expressing my love and feelings about you.
I wish to become your man and win you my own;
Look into my eyes your image will be in my pupils seen
Observe my looks seeking into your lap an invitation
My silence enables you hear my heart palpitation
If you like me, my dear, you too in silence remain
Enabling me to hear sounds of your heart beaten
Let the tunes, become lyrics which I can hear alone
And let those tunes become lyrics me only to recite
By taking you in procession in a palanquin of my desire
Deepika! I like you much and I like this day if we today unite
Which could be the best gift for those memories,
Reminding us of our first unmemorable sweet acquaintance
And we become closer at this moment auspicious
By forgetting self consciousness
Let us lead our lives as “we” by remaining
You as “yourself “ and me as “myself”.
