Articles: My Thoughts | How to do the things that we hate to do? - Swapna Jandhyala
| |
I bet everybody has some things that they are not good at or hate to do, but they have to do inorder to succeed :(.
We are at this point, where we put a check mark at our good things, which just need some polishing but at some things we are
JUST BAD, THATS IT! No questions asked!
No matter how much we try, we are getting hail stones and thunderstorms instead of springs and rainbows.
How to motivate ourselves to do the things that we are bad at? I thought and came up with some ideas:
1. I think we should take it as a challenge. 'If we could do that PARTICULAR thing', we are pretty close to perfection.
2. That particular thing is a 'flaw' in you, preventing you to succeed.
3. Whats so thrilling in doing things we are good at? If we succeed at the things that we are bad, that's even challenging.
4. If you ever observed, whenever we come to know that we are bad at something, our selfesteem drops a little, thus making us more sad.
But in reality, even the person next to you is bad at some other thing which they won't reveal, they just try their best and succeed.
5. Write down your flaws or things that you lack or not good at on a piece of paper whenever you get time.
Write the ones that matter the most first. Then think about ways to improve, if there are any. Why am I bad at something even if I am trying so much? Guess the ingredient that you are missing each time you are doing it.
'Speed in the wrong direction is always bad'. So before you proceed, think, if you are on the right track, if not, change the path immediately!
The steps that I devised above are not only for everybody who read this but also for myself. Even I have to follow these guidelines! My closest friend gave me these ideas. Its none other than 'my inner self'. I talk with it all the time, whenever I am happy and mainly when I am upset or sad about something.
I hope this makes a difference in everybody's life including me.
