Is my field interesting?

When I was very little, when everybody asked me what I want to be when I become big, I used to say that I want to be a doctor just coz 'Dr'looks so good infront of my name :) In reality, I had a little khwaish in my mind. I thought how lucky are bollywood and tollywood heroines. They change so many dresses every scene, they get a new dress every minute, in a single song, a heroine wears an average of 4 dresses! WOW, how lucky I thought. But now, I realize how stupid I was. In reality, a heroine has no real life! I mean all they do is change various roles in various movies. They dont have a single role in life. They do settle in life but not like you and me, they have to act as long as they can like 35 yrs, no choice or freedom to leave their career whenever they can. Ofcourse they get the name and fame but its all superfluous. And one major thing in an actress/actor's field is knowing ACTING! which is not an easy thing. When we watch movies, we comment saying, 'he/she sucked in that role or their voice or dialogues were stupid'. Even I thought like that, but lately I did a play in an Indian program here, just that single play taught me how hard it is to act. Acting is nothing but feeling what u r NOT! I mean, if you are a college girl and they want you to act as a political leader, you have to FEEL it, even a single scene looks awkward if we don't feel it inside. You might say that today's acting, there is no real acting. NO! I think even today, acting is very important to make a hit movie, just a good looking face and a Miss India or Miss World titles lack the acting skills which are BASIC for a heroine! Every career has its own pros and cons. There is no career in this world which is always fruitful. Somewhere, something is to be sacrificed or overlooked. For instance, in a Doctor's career, I think the hardest part if I were a doctor is seeing people die almost everyday! I am scared of that and always think how doctor manages to see so many people die in his/her career. What If I was a musician or a singer? That would be wonderful, isn't it? Well...not really, a musician struggles so much to make a tune, first of all he gets random tunes in his mind. So, he makes a note of all of them, then his next challenge is to match his tunes with the song's mood in that particular scene in that particular movie and also to impress the audience at the same time. Huh! Not an easy job! A singer career is not problemfree either but he/she has to maintain their singing potentials no matter how many new singers come and dominate them, that's the greatest challenge. Competition! There is competition everywhere, we need to be alert about people around us who want to dominate us and thus pose a problem to our careers. We never know who they are, but we have to be a winner all the time. I also used to think Sachin Tendulkar is so lucky, well he is lucky, but he did so much to be what he is and once he got a fame as good batsman, his fame is built, its not an end, its a new beginning, he has to maintain his fame, his high scoring abilities throughout his career. There are so many careers to talk about this way, but one thing is that 'Competition is everywhere in all the careers'. God gives everyone of us with some unique ability different from others. Try to highlight that whereever you go and this way overcoming competition is a piece of cake!
