Take my hand as I reach out to you my dearest friend;
For in my hand I'm sure you'll find the love I mean to send.
My heart is full and overflows with what you mean to me;
Just take my hand in friendship and this you'll surely see.
We've shared our ups and downs and more...
We've seen good times and bad...
And through it all I've come to know
The best friend I've ever had.
My hope is that what we have found shall never pass away...
For you, my friend, I count on to shine in my life each day.
The clouds of life may darken and the sun may not appear
Yet none of this can take away the joy of a friend so dear.
Friends can light the way when the path is hard and rough-
The caring, sharing bond we know seems to always be enough
Keeping me focused on what I need to always get me through
An otherwise difficult journey as long as I have you!
