AN ODE TO MY GRAND CHILD RUHI
O! Dear lovely Ruhi, my grand lass,
Since you are born, three months have past
You have us given immeasurable bliss
Inspiring everyone love you fast.
Your face is as bright as the full moon
With radiance resplendent, even
In darkness your visage by us seen,
O! Lovely child, you are to us a boon.
You have a long future on this universe
And millions of miles lie ahead to traverse
To know the values behind the existence
Of our clan inheriting a glorious race.
You are endowed with wisdom immense
For from your demeanor I do evince
You are keen to know the measure
Of love and affection we have in treasure.
