| The Dussehra Deepavali program on October 30 at the John Bowne High School must be counted as one of the grand successes among this year's excellent array of programs from the TLCA. Capacity crowds cheered the young participants in the beauty pageants, roared with laughter at Mr.Siva Reddy's jokes, and enjoyed the excellent dinner.
The program was kicked off with an introduction by Prasad Kambhampaty, Vice President of the TLCA, and welcome by the President, Anju Kondabolu. The first item was a prayer song by Balavikas children. Sanjay Jonnavithula, Ishwarya and Bhavani Ananthabhotla, Lekha Grandhi, Varsha Katari, Akhilesh and Kavya Tangella rendered the Krishnastakam flawlessly.
This was followed by some songs from the Tangella siblings Akhilesh and Kavya.The next item was a dance performance, Pushpanjali by Nikita Maddineni, Sonia Joshi, Swati Anand, Christina Savaramuthu and Meenakshi Krishna. The ladies of the TLCA then lit the traditional lamps (pramidalu).
