International Telugu Conference - 21st, 22nd February 2005.
Venue: Maris Stella College, Vijayawada - 8.
Vijayawada, Krishna District is the cultural capital of Andhra Pradesh. Maris Stella College, Vijayawada has proposed to conduct two day 'International Telugu Conference' - 'Mana Telugu Tejam' during 21st and 22nd February, 2005. People, with Telugu as mother tongue, living in,outside A.P will feel happy to come to Vijayawada and meet eminent Telugu People of Andhra Pradesh.
They will also feel at home, enjoying and recollecting their ancestral links with the homeland. They can share their experiences to strengthen their bonds with the people living in the motherland.
This proposal is brought to the notice of eminent people of Vijayawada. They felt happy and are coming forward to extend their full support. Along with English, Telugu was also a subject prescribed up to degree level in the past. Students used to understand classics like Ramayanam in poetic form at high school level itself. The students used to write poems grammatically then. Their accent was excellent because of the influence of Sanskrit at degree and post graduate level they obtained command over English language too and admired by Britishers.
Let like-minded people, officials come together to restore Telugu to its past glory. To achieve this let all of us assemble in Vijayawada on 21st and 22nd February 2005 and show our strength, solidarity and affection towards our mother tongue. This conference will highlight the culture and art that nourished the people over the years.
