Bisibele Bath
Ingredients:
Rice - ¼ KG
Toor Dal - 150 Gms.
Carrot - 2 Nos.
Green Peas - 1 small cup
Beans - 100 Gms
Potato - 1 No. (Small)
Beetroot - 1 No. (Optional)
Onion - Medium size 2 Nos. (Chopped)
Tomato - Medium size 3 Nos. (Chopped)
Turmeric Powder - Pinch
Ghee - Half cup (For seasoning)
Mustard seeds - 1 t spoon
Curry leaves - Little
Cashew nuts - Half cup (small)
Red Chilies - 5 Nos.
Tamarind Juice - ½ cup
For Powder:
Chana Dal - 25 Gms.
Coriander - 25 Gms.
Red Dry Chillies - 15 Nos.
Fenugreek - ½ t spoon
Cumin Seeds - 2 t Spoon
Pepper - ½ t spoon
Curry leaves - 2 rims
(Fry the above ingredients with a drop of oil one by one, let it cool, make a dry powder and keep it.)
Method:
1. Put a Toor Dal in a pan, add turmeric, chopped vegetables, onion, tomato and salt for taste. Boil it properly.
2. Prepare rice in a cooker with salt and pinch of turmeric powder. Rice should be over boiled (Add more water while keeping rice for boiling).
3. Remove the dal and vegetables from the pan and add it to the rice. Then add the powder, tamarind juice, mix it properly. (You can add the water and salt according to the taste and consistency).
4. Keep it in a low flame for 5 to 10 minutes; Give the seasoning with Ghee, Mustard Seeds, Cashew Nuts, Curry leaves and Red Chillies. Add with the rice.
5. Rice should not be thick as well as watery.
6. Serve hot with Potato Chips or Khaara Boondi.
