Equal amounts of raw grated cabbage& boiled,mashed- 1 potato
Chilli powder - tsp
Garam masala - tsp
Salt
Lemon juice - ½tsp
Garlic&ginger - ½tsp paste
Freshchopped coriander - 1/4tbsp
Oil for roasting
Bread crumbs for coating
Egg/ gramflour batter beaten/batter with tbsp water
Method;-
Boil potatoes to tender,peel & mash them to smooth paste.
Mix all other ingredients together,make cutlets and roll them over breadcrumbs.
IF egg is used..beat the egg and dip in the beaten egg & roll them in the bread crumbs until they well coated.
Place them in the refregerator for 1hour to set.
Using your hands, form small cutlets with about one and a half dessert spoons of mixture for each.
Fry the cutlets on a medium heat for 5 minutes on each side.
Serve with green chutney & choppedred onion slices,cucumber slices & fresh tomato slices,tomatosauce.
GREENCHUTNEY
Grated coconut 1½tbsp
Garlic peeled and chopped 3pods
ginger tsp(chopped)
Fresh coriander leaves chopped
green chillies chopped- 6
cumin and mustard seeds
chopped onions - 1tbsp
oil - 1½tbsp
lemon juice
salt
Method:-
Grind the coconut, onions, cumin seeds, green chillies, coriander leaves, garlic and ginger to a fine paste,with littlewater.
Pour chutney into a bowl and adjust thewater to have a chutney consistancy.
Heat the oil, Add the mustard seeds.
Fry briefly till they splutter and pour them on the chutney.
Add salt and lemon juice,serve.
