Couple of days ago I saw one article which is stating that,
there are so many cases being filed by our ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau), but none of them are being punished.
They have provided statistics also, which shows that none of the Govt. employees or Politicians are being punished after filing bribing cases also.
Today I saw a news item, two officers have been jailed for bribing case. R.Kesava Kumar, Civil Supplies Department, has been jailed for two years. Anwar Azeez sentenced for one year jail.
Personally I pity them and their families. Though they struggle for one or two years, they or their descendents need not to bribe any one in their life time, if this kind of judgements continue in future.
Truth is very small portion of people are accepting (or forcing for) bribes because their salares are not sufficient for their survival. Most of the people are taking bribes for luxuries. For sure most of them are not cruel or bad people by nature. But they think that when some one offers free money why should we deny that. Every one thinks, when nobody is being punished for bribing, why should I worry about that. We know lot of employees getting heart strokes just for being trapped in bribing. That itself shows how conscious they are about being good.
Any way I hope our Judges will continue to be strong while giving this kind of judgements and more over hope that no higher Courts will excuse them.
Bribing is one of the vital evils in our country. Once when we kill bribing and every one be prompt at paying Income Tax and Sales Tax, we will stand in the row of developed countries.
Yes, Income Tax and Sales Tax will give plenty of revenue to the country. Entire money is stacking there with rich and richest people who is not paying taxes properly. Once when they start paying taxes, the money goes to Govt., then it can provide employment and the money starts flowing down to the poor people. But still as long as bribing is there, money never reaches down.
DREAMING FOR A BRIBE FREE AND 100% TAX PAYING COUNTRY.
At least let all of us try to stand for the above rules.
