Hello Friends, It's great being here. Today I was browsing the web and I came across one of my stories on this site. One of the members (Anupama) has posted it. I felt very happy to see you discussing the story she posted here. I will visit this site often and share some of the greatest inspirational stories with you. To start, I would like to recommend a book called 'The Alchemist - by Paulo Coelho'. This is a great book. it's all about following your dreams. This book has been adjuged as one of the best books ever written on following your dreams and realizing your destiny. The book is very short, simple, and easy to understand. Believe me that even small children loved it when I shared the story with them. So, please see if you can take time out to read this wonderful book. The central message in the book is based on the theme: ' 'When you want to achieve something, the whole world helps you'. Here's a brief summary of the book: Author Paulo Coelho wrote this magnificent and simple story of a shepherd boy Santiago and his dreams. The boy has a dream that there lies a great treasure at the Pyramids in Egypt. After meeting with an elusive king, he sets on his journey to find not only his treasure, but to fulfill his Personal Legend. Wonderfully told, witty and inspiring. I felt I knew the character, the boy in his travels and understood his trials as well as the people he came in contact with. Coelho has written the classic story of the hero leaving his homeland to understand the world he lives in, on a spiritual adventure. This book reminded me of the simplicity in life and appreciating each moment that comes to us, and treating each of those moments as an omen - to be fully aware that this moment is indeed a gift. We can lead our life in whatever way we choose, but if we sense we want something specific from it and yet do not work towards it for fear of what we could lose in the process, we can be seen to be shutting the door on our intended destiny. The work in my opinion demonstrates the importance of following your intuition and learning what your heart is telling you, without falling subject to the fear of the unknown. It is an extremely powerful and thought-provoking work which is also a great pleasure to read. This book will give you hope, boost your faith, and lift your spirit. It will show you the value of having a dream, and following your heart. So, please go ahead, read it and do share your comments with me.
