Folks,
Everyone working outside India should be able to help back home,because of the earnings outside.
If you spend 1% of your salary every month, you can support a family(with food, shelter, clothing), can sponser a kid for the college, can donate for eye operation etc. These are only a few examples.
We are fortunate enough to get a job here (USA, UK etc.). Just think about poor people. Just try for one month and see how you feel. You will get great satisfaction and it boosts your self confidence also.
Just think, if you are supporting somebody, you can see a big smile on their face. Start teaching this concept to your kids also. They will try to implement the same thing in future. We donate lots of money to temples, but we don't know whether that money is going to be utilised for god or not.
As is said by Swami Vivekanamda - Manava sevaye Madhava seva, we all can be sure of spending money for a good cause, if we help the needy.
