Called as Beaten rice, Poha, flattend rice,a val, atukulu etc..
Needs :
Cream milk - 1/2 litre
Beaten rice - 1/8 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Slivered Almonds - 8
Cardamom powder
Crushed pista - 1/2tbsp
Method :
Wash poha, drain and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Loosen them with a fork until each grains separate.
Boil milk in a deep skillet.
When starts boiling , add poha, stir gently.
Simmer.Allow to reduce to almost half in volume.
Add sugar,cardamom, stir
Add nuts& boil for 2 minutes further.
Serve hot.
