Friends, those who did not read my article, 'Comments', read it before you read this one. In fact, it is the comments only which encouraged me to write a notable sum of articles, poems. The letter from 'poetry.com' which conveyed me that my poem, 'Friendship', was selected to be published in an International Anthology, 'The Silence Within', is a turning point in my life. Really it changed my way of thinking. Then I started searching for various poetry websites and posted my poems in every site that I come across. In such search, I found 'your-poetry.com' and I casually posted my poems there also. When I checked those pages again, I was very surprised to read the comments. I felt very happpy. It became a passion to me then to write more and more poems and to eagerly wait for the comments. But we should take both negative and positive comments equally. I never took negative comments badly. I just take them with sportiveness and ease. I want to share some of the positive and negative comments which I cherish the most. First , Negative Comments :::: 1) Fool is a Fool even he goes to school - on my poem, Salvation. 2) The comments of Mr. Adwait on my story, 'Name this story'. This is the first time that I got a serious and severe comments. But I took sportively. I felt the points he raised there are genuine. So I thanked him. 3) 'She doesn't know either Telugu or English' - An opinion of a very good, experienced, old and well-respected English lecturer. The story here is :::: I translated a Satakam on Shirdi Baba which is in Grandhik Telugu to English. Initially I did not started the work at all. How the Telugu Satakam came to me is also very surprising incident. My father was chatting near a shop in our street and he overheard one English Lecturer's words that he had written a Satakam on Shirdi Baba and he cannot translate it upto his expectations into English. My father casually told him that I used to write poems in 3 languages and I did translate some telugu poems into English. He immediately handed over his book to my father and asked my father to ask me to try the translation. I was quite surprised at his generosity of handing over his books without even knowing the standard of me. So I dared not to translate it. I took many months to complete all those 108 poems. I left 5 or 6. I am quite satisfied if not happy when I compared my feelings when I first started the work. I showed it to one of the very good English Lecturers of past in Nellore. I dare not to give him directly but I gave it to his son who is a friend of my director where I work as Part Time Lecturer. It is he who made this comment, 'ee ammaayiki telugu raadu, english raadu'. I just laughed very much when I came to know about that. Still I used to tease myself talking to me that, 'Fool is a Fool even he goes to school'. 'Even you do not know either Telugu or English'. Coming to Positive comments, I very much cherish a mail send to me by a person whom I do not know at all. i love the poem. keep up the good work it help me get my girl back, thanks. your poem is great. (The above comment is about my poem, 'Life Without You') I can not imagine the amount of time you devoted to such intellectual works.I congratulate you. I am moved by your hardwork and would want to learn from you. I am a journalism student of the Lagos State University in nigeria, part three. I need to know more about you. I am single and aged 36. Please do write. Thank you Isiguzoro Emeka Kenneth. Dear Prasanthi, I have read some of your work in Shadow Poets. Let me tell you that I find it to be most inspiring and beautiful. I just had to read this one again! There has been only a few poems that I've read, that gave me goose bumps! This poem is one of them!(chicken skin as we locals in Hawaii call it! lol). Absolutely beautifulPeace! Aloha, Tiana These I remember for my life time. P.S. ::: One of my NET friends wrote a poem for the first time and send it to me and asked me to give feedback. I liked it and was really good and so I expressed the same. He reverted back with a very big mail accusing me that I just do not know how to comment and he explained me how to comment such a poem. I just could not resist myself laughing. Even I laugh when I type this because I too respond in this way with my very cold friends who changes the features of their respective faces when I go to them with a paper or book( such sight of me warns them that I am going to bring them a poem or an article etc.,) and they just reply, 'Good', after reading them.
