Vajpayee and Musharraf
- Mr. Prasad Vanka
  Page: 1 of 1
Rival countries, India and Pakistan, decided to visit each other's country regularly. So, Vajpayee and Musharraf decided to exchange mutual visits. The first visit was by Vajpayee to Pakistan. There, Musharraf showed him Pakistan's modern telecommunication systems. It was so good that Vajpayee made a call to Adolph Hitler in the Hell and talked to him for 5 minutes. The bill for the call came to only 1.00 US$ !! When Vajpayee came back, he also wanted India's telecommunication systems also to be the best and the latest. So, Indians too started to feel proud for what Vajpayee was trying to do !! So, when Musharraf returned the visit to India, suitable arrangements were made for Musharraf to visit our huge telecommunication network and experience the advances made by our country in fiber optic cables etc. Musharraf decided to talk to Adolf Hitler in the Hell to test the tall claims being made by India in the telecom field !! He also talked to Hitler for 5 minutes. But this time, our sophisticated telecom system presented a bill for a whopping 500.00 US$ !!!! Musharraf had asked with a sarcastic smile, 'Ha Ha Ha.... Why are telephone calls to Hitler so costly in so-called ‘advanced’ country like India?' A high-level diplomat gave a smiling reply 'From India to hell, it is long distance, Sir, while from Pakistan it is a local call !!!'
