Useful Tips with Leftover Rice

Here i am giving some tips with left over cooked rice. May be you like them to do.Try them. Recipe tip -1 Heat oven (not micro!!)at 200*c for 2-3 min. Make rice fluffy with a fork(cold rice),the grains should not stick together. Place a oven resistable tray/ paper, sprinkle the rice. Put off the oven and let the rice dry in that heat oven. Now heat the oil in a kadai (shallow pan), remove the dried rice from oven and fry them in oil. you can get nice popped rice, called as murmura(maramaralu, pelalu). ps:-even we can make them with basmati rice also! RICE TIKKIS-2 Leftover cooked rice 1cup Salt Chopped greenchilli 2tsp Ginger&garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp Curryleaves Cut 1tbsp Coriander leaves chopped Allpurpose flour 2tsp Gramflour also can be used instead. Grated carrot tsp Oil for frying **** Crush the rice with fingers like semolina(rawa). In a bowl add everything to rice and make it as a thick pakora dough. Mix well,heatoil and fry them as round/oval balls. Remove when it turns crispy golden brown. Drain on a kitchen towel,and serve warm with tomato/ green chutney. RICE CUTLETS-3 Cooked&cold rice 1cup Ghee/oil for cooking Salt Boiled&mashed potato 1 Chopped &boiled cabbage/cauliflower 1/2cup chopped green chillies tbsp Garlic&ginger paste Chopped coriander Rice flour 1tsp Gramflour/allpurpose flour 1/2cup Breadcrumbs 1cup ** Crush the rice till it resembles semolina. Add mashed potato,and chilli,garlic,coriander,drained cabbage and salt.Make a smooth dough. Prepare small lemon sized balls,place the bread crumbs on a plate,make a htick batter with flour&needed water. Flat the balls a little,dip in the thick batter and roll over bread crumbs,do the same manner with all balls. place them in a plate and allow to stay in the refregerator for 12min. Heat oil/ghee and deep fry them /roast on the griddle till it get golden crispy brown(both sides) Serve with ketchup/green chutney and vegetable salad. RICE VADI(VADIYAMS)-4 Cooked rice 3cups Ajawain 2tsp(vomu) salt Crushed ginger&greenchilli tbsp Garlic crushed tsp Curryleaves chopped 2tsp Asafoetida pinch Sesame seeds 1tbsp **** Crush the rice,add everyhting mix well into a thick dough. It needs good warm sunlight. Put them as vadiyams (small balls like)on a wet cloth/ plastic paper. Allow them to dry completely. Remove and store them in a airtight container. Use whever you needed,deep fry them in oil to crispy. RICE &KADDU PAKORAS-5 Cooked rice cup Salt Bottlegourd,grated 2tbsp Crushed greenchillies 2tsp Crushed garlic 1tsp Coriander 1/2tbsp Chopped onions (circles) cup Curryleaves Oil for deep fry *** Mix everything and make a thick pakoras dough,check there is no need of water. Add tbsp hot oil to the dough. Heat oil and make pakoras,fry them into crispy brown. Serve with tomato sauce.
