Recently I was flipping thro’ an article in a magazine…..”Successful marriages”. Although I have read umpteen numbers of articles pertaining to this topic, this was the first time when I really delved into the topic and started pondering over the subject.
That particular article dealt with a survey analysis of what % of youth considers that love marriages last long and what % cast their vote to arranged marriages. I’m sorry I do not remember the factual details to quote here. But what caught my attention were not the details………!!It was the subject……….!!
I was in a dilemma as to what would make a marriage successful….”love after marriage “or “love before marriage”……????Both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
It is difficult to jump to any conclusion and fix up one’s mind as to which of them is best or something like that.
But…..I could come to justification or understanding that whatever the marriage may be…love or arranged ….what is important is trust in and affection for each other. Love for your spouse after the ceremonial celebrations and rituals are completed…..a true feeling of trying to understand him/her…….an honest promise to trust each other and stand by their side in all circumstances. Love is surely something beyond the “feeling hot hot hot “as shown in movies or elsewhere…………it is a precious feeling or emotion which needs no propagation once the two individuals involved in it understand and care about it.
I remember the quote ……”Dear! Don’t put me in ur eye…..for I’m scared I might fall down as a tear….!!But put me in ur heart …..So that with every heartbeat of yours I‘ll remind u how much I love you”
This is what I feel ………..I don’t know to what extent I am correct……..!!What do you feel…….??????
