THAT’S HOW I TREAT MY MOM When I came into the world she held me in her arms I thanked her by wailing like a banshee. When I was 1 year old she fed me and bathed. I thanked her by carrying night along. When I was 2 year old she taught me how to walk. I thanked her by running away when she called. When I was 3 year old she prepared my meals with love. I thanked her by tossing the plate on the floor. When I was 4 year old she gave me some crayons. I thanked her by coloring the dining room. When I was 5 year old she dressed me for holidays. I thanked her by plopping into the nearest pile of mud. When I was 6 year old she took me to school. I thanked her by screaming “I DO NOT GO”. When I was 7 year old she brought me a cricket bat. I thanked her by throwing it through the neighbor's window. When I was 8 year old she paid for tuition lesson. I thanked her by never bothering to practice. When I was 9 year old she brought me a carrom board. I thanked her by pouring milk on the board. When I was 10 year old she drove me all the day. I thanked her by going and never looking back. When I was 11 year old she took me and my friends to the movie. I thanked her by asking to sit in a different ROW. When I was 12 year old she warned me not to watch certain TV shows. I thanked her by waiting until she left the house. When I was 13 year old she suggested a hair cut. I thanked her by telling her she had no taste. When I was 14 year old she paid a month of summer camp. I thanked her by forgetting to write a single letter. When I was 15 year old she warned about bad habits. I thanked her by learning how to smoke. When I was 16 year old she asked about progress in study. I thanked her by preparing a fake progress report. When I was 17 year old she paid college fee from her personal savings. I thanked her by skipping the college classes. When I was 18 year old she educated me about personal life I thanked her by saying “I know better than you”. When I was 19 year old she brought a Bike to me. I thanked her by stealing money form her handbag. When I was 20 year old she suggested certain careers for my future. I thanked her by saying “I don’t want to be like you”. When I was 21 year old she asked whether I was seeing anyone I thanked her by saying “It is none of your business”. When I was 22 year old she hugged me at my college graduation I thanked her by asking whether she could pay for a trip to the States. When I am 23 years old she advised me to settle in IT job I thanked her by getting job in human resources. When I am 24 years she asked me to pay the education loan. I thanked her by saying I don’t have enough money to pay. Now I am 25 years she advised me to get married I thanked her by saying ………………………….
