Articles: Poetry | O Rain Drop…. - Mrs. sharmila Sanka
| |
Oh glittery rain drop whose abode is the Cloud,
You are sometimes loud and end up in a big crowd
You lose your grip; you slip and drip
When kids with humps bump and jump.
You roll like a ball when you curl like a swirl
You are shy like a girl and hide in a bowl
You look like a pearl and hook like a mole
You look like a doll as you stroll and cajole.
You pop like a drop; you sob like you are robbed
You act like Pope when can’t be tied by a rope
You look like a string that flies without a wing
You sing like a king and you swing like a ring.
You are the crown of the Sky but brown on the Earth
You drown at our groan but never prone to a frown.
Your birth is our mirth; your dearth is our death
You flirt when we perk; but never bark at our jerk.
You are white as the cow that helps with the plough
You move with a flow; you go with a glow
You fly like a dove and always cause love
You blow like you’re bored; you row like an oar.
You seem to be fun when you run with the Sun
With your tons of rain we have won our grains
You hide like a bride and you glide so wide
You wipe like a broom; you shine like a groom.
“O Rain drops, you look like a Train when you drain without pain.” -Sharmila Sanka
